Such a great movie!
It was 1979. Frank Oz and Jim Henson set out to make the first Muppet movie ever. Great names appear all through the film. Steve Martin, Bob Hope, Richard Pryor, Madeline Kahn, Dom DeLouise, Mel Brooks, Carol Kane, Cloris Leachman, Elliot Gould, Milton Berle, and that's just the first 30 minutes. If you've never seen it, this is a must! The perfect addition to this Muppet fan's movie collection.

better quality than I expected
Bought after the latest muppets movie came out and really the original is so witty and cute it makes the Consinteene muppets movie fall short. Loved the most recent Muppet's movie as well as the one before. None are bad but number 1 and 3 are my favorites.

Sound is not the best
Love, love, LOVE the Muppets and I was excited for my young grands to watch it. The movie itself is great but the DVD fell short on the sound. The voices were too low and then the songs came on—so loud I had to continually monitor the remote or be blown out of our seats...okay, not literally, but it was deafening. It took away from the excitement of sharing the movie with my grandchildren.
