This is probably the first backpack my daughter has owned that has been functional and durable enough to last the entire year. The backpack is lightweight and has held up to her throwing on the sidewalk. It still looks like new which is a bonus. Worth every penny!
This bag has everything I was looking for: 1. smallish (compared to my Recon, which I also love) 2. exterior water bottle pockets 3. decently roomy main compartment (it's wide enough to accommodate my full size over-ear headphones in a hard shell case) 4. smaller exterior pocket for quick access small items 5. Comfortable As a major bonus, it's also made with recycled fabric!
I bought this bag for myself for everyday use and for hiking, and I love it. Pros: fits enough stuff for daily use, color is perfect, padding on shoulder straps and on the backside of the bag are comfortable. Cons: the buckles that tighten/loosen the straps sit right under the armpits for someone my size (5'10"/178cm, 200lbs/90kg) and they dig in a bit, can be a bit stiff in the fit
I use this as my daily college backpack, the laptop sleeve is a great size for my larger laptop, and use this whoever I go for a day hike. The water bottle pockets in the size are huge and easily fit my 32+oz water bottles. There is a small front pocket for easy access and the larger main compartment. It's very comfortable to wear and overall love the design and color.
I was looking for a compact bag for when I don't need to carry as much as in my Recon bag. My requirements were a deep water bottle side pocket, and a fairly roomy main compartment, while still having an overall slim bag profile. This fit the bill perfectly. The recycled material is thinner than virgin material bags, but doesn't make me feel like it'll tear easily. That being said, I'm not too rough on my bags. This will mostly be for traveling (carrying aboard a plane), or carrying about for a short hike.
I'm a preschool teacher who needed an everyday workbag. This bag is on the smaller side (in a good way) but is big enough to fit my 13 inch laptop and other everyday items. My favorite part is the water bottle holder in front and cell phone pocket right on top. I have a feeling I'll be using this for years to come.
I love this backpack. It's small but I wanted something I could travel with and take on day trips. It has a separate slot inside that's soft for laptop/iPad or a couple books. When I travel it fits under the seat of the airplane very easily. I packed a change of clothes, books, and snack on the main part of the pack. I love the small zippered pouch on top so I can easily access my phone and/or passport. The front small pocket has a zipper pouch for glasses or sunglasses to keep them easily accessible, another space for phone/passport/cards, and places for pens, gum, and/or chapstick. I also love that the water bottle pouch on the front is very large and you can tighten the strap making it customizable to most any size water bottle. I am very happy with this purchase and have also gotten many compliments! I have had several people ask me where to get one and have bought them. I love the color as well! It is not as big as a North Face backpack but for a travel carry-on bag I didn't want something that big and bulky. I like this size because when I get to where I am going I can then use it as a "purse" for all of my things I need for the day as we explore. Then for nicer dinners out or events I pack a small clutch in my suitcase and can carry that instead of the daypack.
I've been searching for a pack that can replace my G.O.A.T of a pack from Harvest Label cus I wanted to preserve that one as a travel bag only. Got this in the Tye dye color and still not too sure about this pattern. Might change my mind after I break it in. I'm 5'2 so the length is actually the same as my torso, I can fit 2 32oz nalgene bottles and a vapur bottle and a bunch of other stuff. One thing I dislike is that after you've filled the bag the bottom has a "soggy" look so it'll bounce around when you're on the go but the back boning and straps are quite sturdy at least
This backpack does not have a protective spot for laptop. The fabric on the bag feels very thin and feels like it will rip easily. Shape is adorable, and is definitely be able to carry a lot for school. I absolutely love it and its a shame the there wasn't more protection for the laptop. Currently in the process of returning because of the couple things mentioned above.
The backpack itself is awesome - perfect size, lots of pockets, great material, lightweight. We are sending it back bc the straps are awful and uncomfortable - thin but stiff and bulky. Would be a perfect backpack with normal wide straps that lay flat.
