Excellent lightweight raincoat. The hood is adjustable and that helps keep your hair dry and is comfortable. The wrists are elastic and might be too tight for larger wrists. I ordered a size L. I'm 5'6" and 150 lbs and it fits great if that helps you judge
I love the color so much, I wear it even when it's not raining. I usually wear a medium, but got a large because I need this to hike every day with my dog using trekking poles. I needed the extra mobility. I do wish the wrists were Velcro rather than elastic, but that's the only con.
I live in OR where it is wet but not necessarily cold in the spring and fall. This jacket is perfect. The color is gorgeous; almost a pinkish gray. I have several other colors that I had purchased several years ago and wear them alot. The quality is great and so is the fit.
I have this jacket in two colors. I bought the gray with flowers embedded into it and it's wonderful. It's a size small and fits perfectly. It gets the job done. I did buy the yellow in a medium for a trip next year to hike the TMB because I wanted a little bit of extra room to have other jackets and layers underneath. Waterproof and fun yellow color.!
I really like the Women's Antora Rain Jacket. It keeps me dry even in heavy rain and feels lightweight but well made. The fit is comfortable and flattering, and I can easily wear it every day or outdoors. The hood and zippered pockets are super practical. Overall, it's a reliable, stylish rain jacket and definitely worth it.
I love this light, yet sturdy, and highly visible jacket so much! TNF continues to innovate with material, fit, and practical design. I love how well it layers and keeps me dry. It's got a great hood, too. Experiences like this as well as the lengths they go to for honoring warranty and trying to recycle materials has me & my family customers for life.
Pros: Color/Cedar, gorgeous. Fit: large because I like to layer; normally take a medium. Quality: appeared to be excellent & trusted in the waterproof description; Cons: Outside Pockets: didn't love the slanted pockets but could work with them; definitely want large interior pockets, not available in this jacket. Hood: good coverage in case of rain/wind but want one that folds under the collar. Returned this jacket and will keep looking for one that satisfies my requirements; hopefully from NorthFace.
So. I'd normally have bought the S but I needed this one in M because it's the top layer of many when I row in the morning! So far, I'm loving it. It fits nicely, though -and this is the reason for 4 vs 5 stars- even in a M the sleeves are a bit shorter than I'd like. The only thing that "would have been nice" that this jacket lacks are any additional pockets. A small chest level one for little things (earbuds, other small bits) has been useful in other jackets, and I do miss it, and I regret the lack of any interior pocket. Still a good BRIGHT for dark mornings on the water jacket!
So, it works in that it keeps the rain out. It fits well and as expected. It's hot though. Like OMG...you're sweating the moment you put it on. I get why it needs to be a fabric that doesn't breathe because doing so would likely compromise the purpose of the jacket which is to keep the rain out but it becomes uncomfortable very quickly after putting it on. Not sure I could do a day in this jacket but to walk a few blocks from parking to my office, it works well and looks good.
I bought this jacket as a light jacket to wear for softball. I've worn it once and hated it. I had a previous north face rain jacket that I loved, that was an older version of this jacket, but the interior coating was starting to desinagrate. After wearing this during one inning I was sweating and uncomfortable within 5 minutes of wearing it in 20° weather. No breathability at all. I took it off and just got wet instead. Also the pockets are in a terrible spot and on a very odd angle to get anything in or out. It was waterproof that's the only reason I gave a second star.
