I didn't think he would make a good cowboy but this movie was spectacular! Ended up watching three times:) The story was different than I expected, too!

Great western
Loved it. I love the old western movies even thou it is a recent movie. I would recommend it if your into old western movies. Nicholas cage is wonderful

A Story About Revenge
I really like and enjoy Nicolas Cage's movies!! This western, I believe is his first in this genre and it depicts the story of an ex-gunslinger who kills a man 20 years earlier, whose son witnesses the shooting!!! By this time, Cage has retired his gun and is living a quiet life with his wife and daughter, when the son shows up with revenge on his mind and kills the wife instead!! Cage and the daughter set out to hunt the son down for revenge himself, now!!

Great Movie - Very Underrated. Watch It!
Nicolas Cage's first western…and it's a very good one with very unexpected character types. See if you recognize what they really are. Good story development %26 pace. Never drags or lags, moves forward %26 keeps you very interested. Perfect casting. Nicolas Cage always elevates %26 delivers well (even in stinkers) but the young girl playing his daughter is equally good in her role. Amazing for such a young actress. I'm not a western person but I enjoyed this so much it made me want to watch other westerns. Liked it so much I've watched in about 5x in last few months. Highly recommend.

Real Good Flick
This story is about the dichotomy of a man's life. Living a good, traditional life as a husband and father of a daughter, a part of his past seeks revenge upon him, having him reluctantly resorting to his old ways, but with a partner this time. It shows, too, what you can pass on, good and bad, to your young'uns.

This was actually good! Some of Cage's recent (renfield) have been horrid but, this storyline and array of actors were engaging.

The Old Way
The movie is worth a look, not what I was expecting. The old way has a sad ending but will hold your interest. I found it to be okay. Not a great western.

Not his best work.
I've seen Nicholas Cage do much better work. Not his greatest acting. The story line wasn't appealing. Thought he would make a better cowboy. Not so in this movie. Especially being a cold father. Not a fan.
