Just the way I like it! Just as good as movie popcorn! I think the direction said do not add oil… But I do… Along with salt.. My microwave is only 700 watts. For single serving. I use 8th cup Orville Redenbacher's original popcorn. Add Orville Redenbacher's popcorn oil to cover and maybe a little more. Add almost 1/4 tsp Flavacol. Mix it up. Use popcorn mode for 3 minutes. I was worried at first, will it burn, or smell weird? Nope! It popped beautifully, stayed in the bowl, and almost no loose kernels. It popped so well, you know when you get microwave popcorn there are always pieces of kernel in it, and it gets in your teeth, it did not happen to me once! The size was perfect for one person. I washed it, collapsed it and stored it in my drawer.

Following the enclosed directions results in a bowl full of perfectly popped popcorn. I use 1/4 cup of kernels in a 1600W input, 1000W output microwave for 2 min 40 sec. The lid rising as the kernels pop gives kids of all ages something to anticipate.

No oil is required and almost all of the kernels popped. You might have to experiment a little with the time (recommended 2-4 min) depending on your microwave. The only possible drawback is once it's done, salt or other dry spices will not stick to the popcorn, because there wasn't any oil and the kernels are perfectly dry. This can be remedied with a little melted butter, and I'm experimenting with other popcorn seasoning options. I'm very happy with this purchase. It's easy to clean and store!

This silicone bowl is so easy to use. Completely plastic free bowl and lid, and I can control the salt and butter by popping fresh kernals. There's also nitrites (or nitrates?) in the regular popcorn bags. I streamed Brocolli in mine, too, and it worked perfectly. Definitely a great buy!

Just as described and pictured. Awesome popcorn popper. Fill up the bottom with about a quarter cup of your favorite popcorn and microwave for about two minutes or until you hear it stop popping. Also bought the shakers that are flavored for popcorn. Bought some good spray butter. Makes a delicious bowl. Super easy to clean and easy to use by just placing on the lid. Highly recommend.

I had a plastic microwave popper and I stopped using it because there were many unpopped kernels left in the bowl. After that I switched to the bags that you just throw into the microwave but I started to wonder what was inside the product. I bought this corn popper because it looked very convenient to use and the bowl was big enough for me. The best part is that it collapses and stores in a small space which is perfect for me since I live in a studio apartment. The kernels for the most part are all popped when you put them into the microwave and the bowl is fairly easy to clean. I know there are so many brands and types of microwave poppers but this was very well rated everywhere I saw it sold. Give it a try you can't really go wrong.

Worked fine for the most part. I have a slim microwave and it would hit the top before finishing popping then burn a bit in the middle. Would likely be 4 stars if my microwave was regular size.

Check the dimensions because they include the handles in the width. This thing is tiny and they photoshopped it into the product advertising images and made it look a lot larger than it is.
