Even though I am fairly small of stature (male, 5'7 / 155 lbs), I had begun to feel that shorter green strap was at times limiting in ROM, handhold options. Use of longer black strap confirms this sensation, allowing me to send legs in larger arc, with more choices of where / how to place hands. Longer strap also allows me to run it behind my shoulders, which, while not depicted in manual, works for several stretches I've "invented". Poster is good for visual inspiration.

This was needed due to being diagnosed with frozen shoulder. It is the perfect accessory/strap. You have slots for your hand to rest in and then when you pull in either direction up down left right it has the proper resistance to help with your therapy or workout. I would definitely recommend.
