This was a gift sent to a young pregnant mother in San Diego. Baby arrival is 7/25
educational for babies, good contrast for their eyes, and nice size (portable for jaunts)
She loves her new tummy time mat and is intrigued by the high contrast black and white images while being fascinated by the color animal shapes. Such a fun and educational baby toy.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Baby love this it safe for them to play with good entertainment and easy to clean if you someone who always have something to do and it's only u and baby home just put some water inside of it put it on the floor and let ur baby play
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So cute! Definitely a good change from all the ocean themed water mats you see! My little one loves these mats, and has popped the outer ring on a couple and this one is holding up well! Very easy to fill with water and air and I'm sure if you want to it would be easy to dump the water out but I don't see much need to bring it with us anywhere lol. We add a touch of alcohol in the wage to prevent mold and change the water weekly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My baby loves playing with this! She's obsessed with water as it is so this keeps her attention for a very long time. It's also very easy to use and to clean.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from Influenster to try out. The only reason I have a towel in the picture is because ended up spraying the back of the mat when filling it. I do wish the hole was just a little but bigger to find a sink nozzle in. The stock photo showed the edges smooth and straight but I could not get them that way. There were creases I couldn't blow up. Otherwise baby loved it and we had ill continue to use it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This water play mat is a good idea, definitely better than the gallon bag DIY. The material is the same as pool inflatables. Smells the same, sticks the same, has the same air valve for the edge. The floating pieces inside are waterproof, you can see it in one of my photos. The box is extremely plain, especially considering it's a baby toy and how bright the toy is in comparison to the packaging. I wish the instructions had a little more detail. It sounds so simple - fill the edge with air, put water and vinegar in the middle - but from this test experience I learned some things. 1 - the air valve is really hard to use at first (squash the base) 2 - don't fill the air all the way, you want it only like half or so, otherwise the long edges get squished in and it probably puts to much pressure on the seams 3 - when you put the water in, make sure to push any extra air out before closing. I would really have appreciated some kind of measurement or a range of how much water and vinegar to use. I added water 3 times and I still feel like there could be more. I was afraid to overdo it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I discovered a fun new activity for my baby - this water play mat. My son was very entertained by it when I gave it to him during tummy time. This mat has an eye catching design and a fun space theme. It was pretty easy for me to get the mat ready for use. I had to blow the air into the edges of the mat and fill its center part with some tap water. It's important to change the water once a week and add a small amount of vinegar to prevent mold growth. Two things I didn't like about this water mat are that the mat's inflatable edges ended up having creases rather than being smooth like shown on the product's ad, and the chemical smell this toy has.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My three month old was screaming in excitement for this water mat. It was a super easy setup-air around the outside and water in the middle. I think the water part has a good seal and I'm not worried about leakage. I put some vinegar in the water as suggested to help keep it clean and will change it out once a week as well. A couple downsides were that it had a little bit of plastic smell but that's to be expected and the toys on the inside were a little warped but I was able to fix them. We are hoping tummy time will last much longer with this fun mat!
