I am not a movie goer, but watch television a lot. I am here to tell you, that this movie was good to watch on TV. But it is GREAT to watch without commercials, never mind the amount the stations cut out to make the movie fit in a particular time slot. At $5.00 for the DVD it is a price hard to pass up!

Part 2 is on the back side of the DVD.
I thought it was defective, but thanks to someone's review, I was able to finish the movie by flipping the disc over. I think The Pelican Brief is a wonderful movie, and would have given it 5 stars, if there was a rating for the movie alone. I liked seeing John Lithgow, Sam Shepherd, Stanley Tucci, Denzel Washington, and Julie Roberts in these rolls. The rest of the cast did well also and added a lot to the story. I was getting tired of Julia Roberts, but seeing her in this movie, rejuvenated my interest in seeing her in similar rolls. She and Denzil and the director and writers, made the legal research so interesting and intriguing. The only bad thing I can say about the movie is that the directors/writers weren't clear on matching the names of the bad guys to the faces or was clear on who exactly, shot the assassin played by Tucci who was about to shoot Darby. I'd give 1-2 stars for the way the movie was recorded on the DVD. This method is old and inconvenient. For five dollars, I could get a better quality than this. However, the picture quality is fine and it takes up the whole screen, which is my preference. I would recommend the movie, but not this DVD.

Good Movie odd DVD!
It was a very odd DVD. Half way the movie stopped working. Had to flip it over to see the rest of the movie. First time I ever had to do that to one movie on DVD. Good movie!!!

disc was fraudulent
The disc only contained about half the movie. The screen suddenly said stop and it would not go any father.

It is a Pirated Copy and the movie stops playing in the middle of it.
