The Perfect Shave Carry on Kit - Sandalwood

My husband was so delighted when he got this shaving kit for a Christmas gift. He has been wanting to try some products from the Art of Shaving range but never got around to doing it, so I purchased it for him. I can't tell you how often he says to me "how wonderful this stuff is!" The Sandalwood fragrance is SO good, so warm and calming and it has made my husbands face so smooth. I will definitely be purchasing this product again for my husband!

I am a big fan of The Art of Shaving and am so sad that they no longer have any physical locations. I have been using the products for over 25 years and they are still outstanding. I don't know where I would be without the pre-shave oil. I use it almost every day while shaving in the shower. The after shave balm & moisturizer is amazing. Four pumps of product is plenty for covering my face, neck and upper chest and the Sandalwood smells great! I have given Art of Shaving gifts to friends and family and they are so appreciative. I need a new razor because the razor mechanism is finally (after 20 years) beyond repair after dropping it countlesss times LOL. I love the black pearl handle but am not sure the head can be repaired, so I'm in the market to replace it. I decided to write this review in advance of my purchase today knowing that I will find a quality replacement.. Hopefully, this review will bring additional business to The Art of Shaving.

The Sandalwood scent is gentle and pure chivalry. It is the smell of a solid, classic gentleman and the Sandalwood Full Size Kit with the Fine Badger Brush is exactly what belongs on his bathroom shelf. The 4 Element process is so much faster and easier than you could ever imagine, even on a fast moving morning before work. You will look good, feel great, and smell even better. Try it and you will never go back!

I had a tough time choosing between the sandalwood and the citrus. You normally think of sandalwood as being heavy, thick almost smokey. Not the case with this scent. It is light, not overpowering and you have a clean feel after shaving using the oil,cream and aftershave balm. I was skeptical about applying oil first but I tried it with excellent results. I have not experience razor burn since using this method, when finished your face has a clean feel to it, not greasy or weighed down with grease or soap residue. I have gotten several compliments from people asking what is that cologne you're wearing. No cologne just the shaving cream I use and my wife loves the scent. I would recommend this to anyone I knew who was interested in an extravagant wet shave experience first thing in the morning or whenever you shave.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the past few months, I have been experimenting with more creams for shaving as opposed to the stuff that comes in the can. When I received the opportunity to test out the offering from the Art of Shaving, I was excited. Growing up, I watched my grandfather shaving with a brush and straight blade, so it has a nostalgia. As blades advanced to having two, three and then five blades, I often wondered why we went away from the classic brush approach for shaving cream. The first time I used the kit, I was pretty excited to see the difference in the way that the shave felt from the oil, to brushing in the cream, closeness of the shave and then the soothing feel of the lotion after.I was instantly hooked and wondered why it took me over a decade to discover the joys of shaving the old school way (albeit with a new school blade). One thing I must say though is that using the kit is better after the first try and gets better each try. You get a feel for what amount of each product should be used as well as ways to improve upon how you shave. I am very impressed and would highly recommend this as a graduation, Father's Day, birthday or holiday present for one of the men in your life.

My wife surprised me with this kit. She upgraded the brush and swapped the cream for the soap. I had never shaved with all of these products ever. Speed in the morning was the way to go. Faster isn't better, it may take a little longer to shave in the morning but it is a much better shave. I can never go back to foam in a can ever again. More men need to try these products. You will not be disappointed.

I'm hooked on their products. Been using them for years. You can't go wrong with whatever product you want. Just whatever scent trips your trigger

I adore this smell!!! This kit is the best. Hands down. I cannot get enough of the smells in the kit!!! The brush is a good addition as well. The pre shave oil prevents all cuts. Worth the money.

Does anyone else think the Sandalwood aftershave is watered down compared to a few years ago? Doesn't quite have the same fragrance either. Unfortunate for what this costs.

Poor quality and service. I do not recommend this company to anyone or will my husband ever purchase again. He has been a long time customer, but now he will take his business elsewhere. Expired products!! For the amount you pay I expected better quality and service.
