The Pioneer Woman Flea Market Ceramic Strainer

The Pioneer Woman Colander with Drip Plate is pretty enough to leave on the counter or store in an open-faced cupboard. The one I received has yellow trim. The drip plate has a grey checkered pattern across it. The colander is covered in colorful flowers with the inside being empty of decoration. The colander has two small handles to make it easy to hold with both hands. This is actually a lot smaller than I was expecting. I have large colanders for family-sized meals but this one is more suited to single serve items and small batches. The holes are large enough that I wouldn't use this for rice or lentils, but it is good for things like fruit. The drip plate is a great addition that I have never had before to catch excess water without it making a mess on the counter. The label says it is dishwasher safe. I have not been able to test that as I do not have a dishwasher and so I hand wash everything. This is great for rinsing fruit but I wouldn't use it for anything that might get stuck in the holes otherwise a straw cleaner is needed to go through each hole to get it truly clean. The pottery is thick and well made.

I am writing this review on the Pioneer Woman Fiona Floral Colander with Drip Plate. First I will point out that this is a very small colander. It would probably hold around 4 to 5 cups. It says you can use it for pasta, but it would have to be a small batch. I will be using this for fruit and berries mostly. We eat a lot of fruit and berries, so this will come in very handy for our family. It's the perfect size for a batch of strawberries, blueberries, or really any fruit or berry. The drip tray is a really nice touch. And the ceramic is painted beautifully. I just love Pioneer woman products. They are always above and beyond what I would expect. As with all of the pioneer woman products we own, this is so attractive it even makes a beautiful display piece. I highly recommend having one of these for washing small batches of anything in the kitchen!

I bought this colander for my mom it is small but it is so cute. She uses it for many things when she cooks and even when she isn't cooking. My mother also puts fruits in it and leaves it in the middle table as a fruit holder. There is so much you can do with it you just have to be creative .

Most of my kitchen items are purely functional, so I wasn’t really expecting a ceramic colander. It is very pretty and it has plenty of drainage, but it is definitely a decorative piece. You can certainly wash and drain your berries and set them out on the counter in this colander and it will be charming. I am personally afraid of chipping it, though, so I may just pack it away until such an occasion presents itself.

The drip plate has a checkered design while the colander has a bunch of flowers with yellow handles and a yellow strip at the bottom of the colander.

Nice size strainer. No more soggy or wet fruit. This strainer is functional. I like to use it for berries. Just place berries inside strainer rinse and put on its own matching plate.

This 8-inch ceramic colander is a perfect size for a few bunches of grapes, some mini apples, a few pints of berries, or my favorite snack of edamame in shells. There are many holes so water drains out nicely. I really like the drip plate which catches any water that might remain in the bottom. This set is well made, sturdy, and colorful. I like the fact that the drip plate is a checkered pattern which contrasts with the floral pattern of the colander. Sometimes I prefer a non-matchy-matchy look. You can still tell this is a set because the yellow trim of the drip plate matches the yellow side handles and the upper/lower edges of the colander. I put the colander in my dishwasher this morning, and it came out perfect.

I keep fruit bought up just so I can use this. I love it and even my husband commented on it. It normally takes him 7 years to notice anything.

I bought this item on a whim because I love the floral designs of PW. But it turned out handy and I use it! I use it to wash berries and cherry tomatoes etc. And I like the handy accompanying dish. And it's so stinking pretty!!!

Very beautiful Pioneer Woman Colonder. It looks more like Vintage Floral than Flea Market Design. Love it so much I order one for my sister.
