I have to say the only reason I ordered this scoop was because I could get it with my grocery delivery. I wanted a scoop to portion out a muffin mix. It worked but it was too big. It feels heavy and sturdy and I certainly would not want to use it for an extended time because of it's weight. I don't like the color at all but it doesn't really matter much. My biggest problem with this scoop is the handle, It's messed up. It's really skinny as if it's made for a small lady's hand but it's extra long like for an man with extra large hands. I have average hands for man, certainly not considered large and this skinny handle is really uncomfortable to hold. The extra long length is also uncomfortable. I suspect it would be even worse if I were trying to scoop really hard ice cream because the balance is off. Normally ice cream scoops have a thick handle so it's easy to grasp tightly and it's normally around 4 to 5 inches so you have just the right leverage to scoop ice cream. I never thought about the width being too big for small hands but I've also never heard anyone complain about a handle being too wide. The other problem I have with the handle is the material used on it. It feels like some kind of silicone you know like the silicone that's supposed to feel natural or skin like. To be honest I don't even know if it's made of silicone but that's what it feels like. All this is fine except that I suspect it's going to be difficult to clean in normal conditions and if it's put in a dishwasher the heat may make it hard and slick. Washing in the sink doesn't seem like a good idea because the material feels porous as if dirt and germs could infiltrate it and get stuck within the material. Again I have no idea if this is accurate it's just the way it feels and I don't want to worry about if a kitchen tool can be sanitized. The other thing I don't like is it was not a clean scoop, my muffin batter stuck to the outside and inside of the scoop. The little thingy inside did a poor job of swiping it all away. The release wasn't as easy as I'd like the spring is kind of tight and takes more effort. I've worked in restaurants for 40 some years and used a lot of portion scoops that were way easier to control and release as well as more ergonomic and comfortable to hold.

The ice cream scoop broke on the first use. I went to squeeze the lever to release the ice cream and it popped out of place and the inside scraper came out. Which is wildly aggravating for a $10 ice cream scooper. Trash.

I have an Italian Ice business, and this scooper broke within 15 minutes of scooping. I have gotten other scoopers in this brand and they all are about the same, but this one probably was the worst and I hate to get bad review but I wanna be honest because I am running a business.

I don't understand how people are giving this 5 stars. Is it just because they're fans of Pioneer Woman? Are they serving half-melted ice cream? This is the least easy-to-use ice cream scoop I've ever had. The handle gets in the way if you're trying to actually press the scoop into frozen ice cream. The old one-piece scoops work much better than this one. This is a pretty scoop, but I can't recommend it. It may be good for scooping cookie dough or other doughs that aren't super firm, but not for scooping ice cream.

I tried to cancel this twice, and I continued getting technical difficulties. So, I need to return this item and get refunded.

After ONE use it is not stainless steel. Parts get easily rusted. I tried to reach out to customer service and couldn't return. Do not buy!!!
