A good remake of an old classic
I got this movie for my daughter. She loves it. Years ago I saw the movie,"The Bishop's Wife" with Cary Grant and Loretta Young, on which this movie is based. I really enjoyed it. I like this version as well as the original. It's a great family movie. Rated PG. And of course you can't go wrong with Whitney Houston's beautiful singing.

GREAT MOVIE
I had been wanting to buy this movie on DVD for ages, but I never got around to doing it up until recently. I'm glad I purchased this film, it was exactly how I remembered it only better. Whitney Houston is phenomenal in everything she does and Denzel Washington well, the name speaks for itself. You really will enjoy this great classic.

The Preacher's Wife is one of my favorite Christmas movies. Every year I look forward to watching it again and again.

It's a funny and beautiful movie something that family with out all that violence and nudity cursing language it just remind me of yesterdays

Not the best quality
I just love this movie! It is definitely one of my all time favorites! With that being said, the quality of the movie is not the best. I expected it to be the quality of the tv version! Not! I was very disappointed. Nothing you can do about this once you open the dvd. It��s not returnable. Oh well!

Poor sound quality
Not very good quality. No problem with the music but the talking is way too soft. Had the volume all the way up on 100 just to hear it.
