I like Sam. This is an entertaining story. Lots of action with plenty of plot changes. Good ending. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

THIS DVD IS BY FAR MY BEST FRIEND AND LOVE OF MY LIFE, LARRY AND MY FAVORITE SAM ELLIOTT WESTERN MOVIE!!!!!! I HAVE LOST COUNT OF HOW MANY TIMES LARRY HAS WATCHED THIS DVD WITH ME BUT I PARTICULARLY WITHOUT ME AND NEVER HAS GOTTEN TIRED 😴 OF WATCHING IT. HE ENJOYS IT JUST AS MUCH EVERY SINGLE NEW TIME I PLACE IT IN OUR DVD FOR HIM. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!!! HE PROBABLY WILL BUY IN THE FUTURE ANOTHER SAM ELLIOTT AND TOM SELLECK WESTERN MOVIE LIKE THE SACKETTES WHICH THESE TWO ACTORS STAR IN TOGETHER WHEN HE CAN BETTER AFFORD IT. My thoughts on Sam in the Quick and Dead
This is a very good film, Sam is a quiet cowboy who doesn't say much but is always there when needed. Different for Sam but very delightful.

One of the best Sam Elliott movies
Keeps your interest. Cowboys, horses, romance, rivalry, gun fights, bad guys & revenge. The pioneer family isn't too smart heading west. A handsome stranger keeps an eye on them along the way and teaches them a few things to stay alive while some bad guys chase them through the wilderness, intent do them harm. Sam Elliot is easy on the eyes. The woman is good looking as well. Tom Conti' s character is made to look the fool often by stranger. The kid does a good job but isn't believable as their son since he looks more Indian than Northern European. Overall a good movie I could watch again and again.
