This is a great bread! I have been buying it elsewhere for a while and I am happy to see that Walmart is carrying it. It is offered in a hearty grain and seeds or their sourdough version. You won't be disappointed. The large slices make it easy to use one slice for a half sandwich.
l dislike soft bread. this is a rustic bread that is great for toasting, not so much for eating as an untoasted sandwich. the bread is filling and makes a great sandwich for the. marketplace Angus burgers with cheese and onions. one piece of bread cut in half is enough for a burger
My favorite bread. Always fresh and toasts easily. The downfall is the size of the slices. Sandwiches maybe uneven as you get half a loaf. I don't buy it often as the price has rose $1.50 in the past couple years, as other groceries. I love the healthy ingredients and wished this product would go on sale or manufacturer offered coupons.
I LOVE this bread!! It's my favorite wheat bread! It's great toasted or untoasted, and when it gets stale (if it lasts that long), I cut it into cubes and toast it in a pan with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and a little parmesan cheese and make croutons for salad. It's really a great, all-around bread to have on hand.
An excellent choice of bread. Great taste %26 texture, it toasts beautifully and stays fresh all week. I tried for the 1st time 4 months ago when my regular sprouted bread was out of stock. I've stayed with this bread ever since %26 it's now my go to. Love it!
I really miss old fashioned European bread that I ate in my chikdhood. I found this and can't get enough of it. It doesn't have the crispy crust of home made bread, but the taste more thsn makes up for it. It is a bit pricier but the slices are big enough that you can make 2 sandwiches out of some of them. I like to toast one, spread it with mashed avocado and add a fried egg for brunch on weekends.
Too dense and soggy. VERY poor flavor and texture compared to Essential Baking's Cracked Wheat Sourdough, which is superb. Crispy crust, a more open crumb, and scrumptious flavor. It looks like you may have discontinued EB. If that was a Wal-Mart decision, it's a bad move!
NOT the bakers problem. it's all Walmart problem. There was a spot the size of a 50cent piece of bright blue-green mold on it. Unfortunately, I didn't look until I'd eaten half of my sandwich. UGH! I sure hope it doesn't send me to the hospital tonight.
l love everything about this bread accept the seeds which are not good for seniors. The taste, consistency, flavor, etc. are great but, l shouldn't eat it due to trying to keep a healthy gut. The seedless substitute has a wonderful flavor, texture and l feel safer eating it.
The reason I gave it one star is because 4 out of 5 times I ordered this bread it was NEVER a delivered. I still paid for it. But the hassle one has to go, through over and over when it is some kind of inside corporate cyber attack - and the reason I suspect it is an inside job, because it is ALWAYS THIS BREAD. After I reported it the first time - I thought it was an honest mistake - but not receiving it 4 out of 5 Xs - I realized it I was a target of cyber bullying from someone inside Walmart. Also, there were attacks on my bank account as well. So, you be the judge. I love the bread but NOT being a victim of cyber bullying and attacks due to some kind of mind game being played on me. Did I mention that I am a 76 corporate whistleblower ?
