The Rustik Oven Pane Italiano Bread, 16 oz

Very pricey for half a loaf of Italian bread, but it is very high-quality and it is delicious and it's a good strong sandwich bread even if you have a kind of moist filling so you know it is worth it, but it really should be like a dollar cheaper anyway thank you

It is a bit pricey compared to regular bread, but then, artisan bread always is. And it is definitively worth the price. Nice, firm texture. Excellent for toasting. Great flavor. Nice with sweet or savory or for soup/sauce dunking. I keep it in the fridge and either toast it or give it a minute to get the chill out.

The Rustik Oven Pane Italiano bread is the best store bought bread I've found. The taste and texture are great and each slice is big enough for one sammich if you halve the slice so it really doesn't cost much more than other breads on the shelf. I definitely recommend this bread for sammiches but it's also great by itself with some quality butter spread on it.

Now I know this bread loaf is a bit pricey for just a half a loaf … But I spoiled myself once in awhile because I cannot always make it to our Aldis Market which sells a similar type of bread which has a different name and I can't always Make it to the Military Commissary to get with all that said . This type of bread My mom got me hooked on as a kid It is a good hearty bread One that she used to get was called is ( a woodsmen bread) it have about 7 grains in it . Anyway I love the taste texture and variety of ways you can eat it with any meal . I personally will take a slice and half that slice and either toast it or eat it untoasted with a lil honey butter or my favorite jelly or jam on it for breakfast or a snack . Will make a sandwich with turkey or ham etc. or add butter to a slice and eat it with a warm hearty soup or stew ! Yes I recommend it especially if you love a good loaf of bread but want to be mindful of health a bit

My mother's family is Italian. I grew up eating home baked Italian bread. This bread is the closest in taste and texture to the bread I remember. It makes wonderful sandwiches, garlic bread, cheese toast, and to get the last drop of spaghetti sauce off of the plate. Yummmmm!

To all the uninformed complainers thinking this is "half a loaf" of bread...A loaf of bread traditionally weighs 1 pound (16oz, for those of you playing at home). Which is the weight of a loaf of this bread. In addition, the slices themselves are about a slice and a half of traditional loaf bread. Holds up beautifully to a "wet" sandwich filling. And last but not least, it's delicious, toasts beautifully and has NO SUGAR.

rhis is such a delicious piece of bread. it's not a traditional french in that it's not crusty. it's soft but if you toast it, it will be magical. the texture is incredibly hearty though and one slice makes a whole sandwich but if you're really hungry, go for it and make a really crazy sized meat lover or a fresh from the garden veggie special because this bread will hold up to whatever you feed it.

I like the Grain and seed but the Italian is awful . It doesn't taste like Italian bread at all. It's dense and really Salty has a weird taste that leaves a gross after taste in your mouth. I will stick to their Multi grain seed bread. It's a million times better.

Well its like getting a half a bag of bread even though its supposed to be a 1lb bag. The slices are long. Taste is plain. I bought this brand because it's supposed to have ingredients like "malt" but it does not have a taste. In fact it has no taste. It taste like - nothing. No taste, which is weird. the price of almost 5 bucks is ridiculous. It's not even remotely like sliced Italian bread. I ended up with two when I added it back to a list I was removing it from, and changed my mind, and ended up with two. I have one in the freezer. Ok, no problem. I will use it. But not buy again. It was fresh so I would give it a good quality. The bread arrived well. Good driver.

First of all, I didn't get my ice cream sandwiches which I was refunded back. Thank You for that Walmart. But on that delivery day I thought I would have a sandwich for dinner with the Rustik Italiano bread I ordered. I sat down to make the sandwich and open the loaf took 2 slices out and there was Mold on it. So, I threw the whole loaf in the garbage. It's bad enough prices are getting insane, but I would think I should at least get fresh items. What's going on Walmart, I never ever had these many problems with one order in the past. I'm hoping this won't happen again in the future Please. Paul Dagley
