The Sims 3: Starter Pack: Digital Redemption Code Edition

The game itself is good, I had a hard copy years ago and lost it but bought this "digital" copy to keep me busy over winter break. However it took several hours to receive the email with the product key, and it has been 12 hours since I started to download it and its only at 60%. Also not mentioned in the description is you can only play the game when you're online, and you have to download a separate app run by EA games to even begin downloading the Sims game. I could have driven to the store and bought, installed and played this game in a fraction of the time its been since I made this purchase. I thought this version would be more convenient, but it has just been a source of aggravation and stress. Walmart should mention the internet requirement and not promise an under 4 hour delivery. I was so excited to find an instant download of this game I didn't read the reviews myself!!!

I ordered this (the digital code one) so it would be sent to my email and I could download it and play. Online it said it would take 1-3 hours. In the order email I got it said it would send the digital code in a via email within 4 hours. Its been over 4 hours and I am very disappointed and will be calling first thing in the morning to complain.

This game does not work. You must download Origin to install, which does not work on the latest Mac operating system. This is unusable on Mac despite the system. There should be some sort of disclaimer!

The code didn't work. I put it in, but something happened, so when I tried to put it in again, it said the code had already been used, so I never got a chance to download it using walmart. Download it directly from the EA website instead. Works great!

I should have listened to the other reviews and bought the CD version of the game... Be aware that this is not an easy and straightforward way to play! Once you finally have the code (it takes forever), you will have to download an app called Origin and create an account with them. Then, you have to create an account on Sims3.com to register your code to even be able to open the game in Origin. The game takes hours to download and you can only play while online. I have a bachelors degree in Communications and work with computers every day, and I was only able to get this game up and running after a few hours with customer support. Just do yourself a favor and buy the actual disk.

I ordered this game the same day that I bought my daughter a laptop it took three days for her laptop become so after we set the laptop up we were trying to put the game on it would only set up halfway and when it was time to put the key codes in it said that they were already used called walmart.com for some assistance I received no assistance and no money . FYI Walmart would not let me put 0 Stars so I had to put One.

They don't tell you that you MUST download additional software in order for the game to work. You can't play the Sims without downloading advertisement software called Origin. And, you can't play the game offline. I bought this for my sister. She was able to install the game at my house because I have high-speed internet. But, when she went home, she found out she couldn't play the game because she doesn't have an internet connection. Since when does the Sims require an internet connection? You don't even play online!

I when with the digital code method for one reason, I wanted the game delivered FAST! I've been waiting for NINE whole days now! That's it! I'm cancelling this order and ordering the CD version of the game. I know the game is awesome, but the Walmart delivery service is NOT. Please, take my advice and either go to the store to get it or buy the CD and let if arrive VIA mail. Because in the time I waited, I could of already have it and been playing the game! So disappointed, I'm NEVER ordering ANYTHING VIA Walmart digital code again!

I got this because I wanted to play it soon. I could've driven to the nearest store and back over 10 times by now. Ugh! I know it's a great game because my friend has it and I've played it but the wait time is UNREAL! I am NOT happy. It is an email, how long can it possibly take!? UGH!!
