I've read some really bad reviews on this so I thought I would add my thoughts. I've been using these for over 2 years and love them. I agree that although you can sleep in them it isn't great to do. I have very fine, curly, often frizzy hair. I let my hair get mostly dry and then I roll it up for about an hour. The result is great. Soft, smooth curls that last all day. If you do your hair at night just don't brush or comb out until the next morning, the curls will still be there if you do it this way. The sewing of the strap to the roller could be better but after over 2 years of almost daily use only 20% are showing separation at the seam. Not great, but not awful either. In regards to the rollers falling out, I twist the strap a few times to take up any slack so the strap secures more tightly and there's no more problem with slippage at all. Hope this helps. They should stick an advice sheet of paper in their package to avoid people having this issue and then posting bad reviews. I plan on buying another set for backup now that the price has dropped.
These are really nifty blue cloth curlers. They DO work and are real easy to use. I like the little case, too, with the handle. Yes, they are easy to sleep on. You don't even know they're there.
These rollers are amazing! The drying time for me is 3 hours and my hair is about 4 inches past my shoulders. They make big or small curls depending on how tight you roll them. Live the curls too. I just flip my hair, use hair spray and perfect without damaging my hair with blow dryer and curling iron...Too much work for me, as I have Fibromyalgia and this is one quick easy step for me. so no more pain and exhaustion in my arms now. Yeah!
I have been using Sleep Styler Hair Curlers for 2 years. The small work well on my medium length fine hair. At first, it took some adjusting to keep them tight. But, once you get the hang of it, it is easy. After some experimenting, I found 18 curlers gives my hair fullness and nice waves.
If my hair wasn't so fine and thin , they would have worked better, i bought the small ones and they were still to big, even though i have long hair, the rollers did stay in all night without getting loose . so if a person has normal to thick hair they should work just fine.
So happy to find these again. It takes practice to figure out how to use them in away that's best for your hair and so they don't fall out. Have been using these for a few years. that set is in great condition, just wanted a 2nd set for travel. Received but half the set was not sewn properly. Disappointed. Use my old set almost every day for 3 years and this never happened to those 12. Rating is about defect not the actual product. Perhaps they were a return sitting in the warehouse?
I did not find them easy to use. It took me awhile, but once I got them on, they did soak up all water from my hair. My hair was not as straight as I would have liked, so I still had to use my flat iron, but thankfully it did help with the amount of time it took using the flat iron. Even though I struggled with putting these in my hair, I do recommend them.
These curlers are very hard to initially get to stay in your hair and literally fall out as you move anywhere, much less try to sleep in them. But any that are left in your hair by the time you get to your bed, are not uncomfortable to sleep on. I am returning them.
These are terrible. Going back to the old pink foam type that close securely which are so much better.
Not happy with the product. The velcro got stuck it my hair while trying to apply and pulled some of my hair while trying to remove. It did make wavy curls they looked messy , still had to style my hair with curling iron. I personally wouldn't recommend.
