Well done reproduction
My husband loves old sci-fi and horror movies so I bought this one for him. The video is very well done. They cleaned up this digital copy so you don't have any of the video noise you usually get when these old films are reproduced.

Still a great movie to watch!!
this is the original of the movie and James Arness played the Thing. neat movie. I am 74 now but wanted to see this again, after 65 years to see if I was still scared..not really, but it was and is a great movie. How they did all the effects/props back then is amazing! A little too much fast talking, hard to hear at our age, but I give 5 stars from my memory of it! took 2 wks before delivered

a sci-fi classic
The Thing From Another World is one of the enduring horror films from the fifties. Invasion of the Body Snatchers and Them! would also fit into this catagory. It also has a rather tidy cold war subtex built into it. Essental vewing for horror and science fiction fans.

Best "B" Horror Movie Made
"The Thing From Another World" is an excellent Horror/Sci-Fi flick. It was originally released in 1952 and has all the elements of a great movie. It was actually directed by Howard Hawkes. Hawkes went on to become one of Hollywood's most sought after directors. In fact, he directed many of John Wayne's best pictures. This film has state of the art special effects (for 1952 that is), it was filmed in black and white which ads to its realism. It is a great way to watch a Sci-fi movie that has a good story, good action, and very good actors (James Arness - TV's Marshall Dillon- plays The Thing).
