I loved this movie! It's so dark and twisted, it's not a stereotypical “jump” thriller but it is still intense and keeps you interested! I really didn't know how it would end!

Modern Classic
Modern classic, true horror fans will appreciate this dark, slow fall into Evil and madness. Not for people who just want basic studio, jump scare filled “horror movies.” This film has more to offer.

Suspenceful plot that keeps you interested throughout the movie. Gives a realistic representation of the period and insight into what can make people turn on each other. Not a film for young children.

Not for feeble minded!
I had heard that this "was the most scary film made in a long time." That is why I rented it. I enjoy good horror films. There just aren't many around anymore. This isn't exactly a horror film. It's more of a psychological thriller. It isn't for the feeble minded or the suggestible. Some people might be downright scared by it. I didn't find anything really special to it, but it did have a nice twist on things. I think this film shows what can happen when churches scare people to death with religion and God. What happens when a family is isolated and can't think for themselves because they "fear God to death." Just like the Salem Witch trials of the same era, this family turn on one another at the drop of a hat all out of fear and ignorance. It also shows the power of evil over good and choice. The DVD is closed-captioned and comes in English and Spanish.

Very low budget; it's amazing want a 30.00 budget what you can do... Not recommended to a friend because they would not stay a friend...

This movie was weird I honestly didn't like it, there's good horror then there's the bad and uncomfortable and this was it.
