A stunning deck that beautifully embodies Derren Brown's mystique and elegance. The book-style tuck box is a brilliant touch, making this a must-have for both collectors and fans.
As an aspiring mentalist and a huge fan of Derren Brown, these cards were a must-have for me the moment they hit the press. I was already familiar with theory11's commitment to detail and their reputation for exceeding expectations, but once again, they managed to surprise me. The deck is absolutely stunning and exudes elegance—from the meticulously crafted tuck box to the beautifully designed cards. Each card features a unique design, with the Jokers depicting Mr. Brown as a suave, devilish figure, and the aces showcasing bold, intricate details. This deck is the perfect companion for performing intimate, elegant shows or for immersing yourself in Mr. Brown's masterpieces—whether it's Pure Effect, Absolute Magic, or his more recent Notes from a Fellow Traveller. Overall, it's a 5/5 deck! Thank you, theory11 and Mr. Brown!
T11 has truly outdone themselves with this elegant deck of cards. Each Ace is a unique masterpiece, sparking conversations about the artistry behind their design. The "book-look" tuck box is beautifully crafted and adds a touch of sophistication. Derren Brown must be proud to have his name associated with such an exceptional deck.
Pure luxury. Incredible box and playing cards. Derren Brown is one of my favorite magicians and I am happy that he collaborated with theory11 to produce this timeless beauty.
It's by far the most exquisite fake book I've ever laid my hands on. Resting on a bookshelf beside other books it doesn't look out of place. At least for me, I feel an almost magical sense of nostalgia when I open the cover and see it's stamped December 2019 by Royal Decree, a beloved time before the pandemic. I just wish the letter from Derren Brown was less ambiguous, both in its contents and when trying to ascertain the authenticity of the signature. Perhaps I have the facsimile, although I'm not totally sure, I kind of wish it was more obvious and easier to tell them apart. As for the letter I can tell you I couldn't really make heads or tails of what exactly it was trying to say. I'm not sure if that's because of the way it was written or if I just wasn't worthy enough to learn whatever sort of esoteric knowledge it contained. Besides that, I really enjoyed the Derren Brown deck. The tuck case also looks like a book but one with gilded pages, it's quite intricate on its own, certainly not your average deck of cards by all appearances. The cards themselves do not disappoint in the slightest. There's just so much to love about these cards, they feel great, they look great; as far as decks go this has to be one of the best. The Ace of Spades also is incredible.
Easily in my top 3 favorite decks, possibly the top spot. This deck is such a cool concept with the book design. I also opted for the box set, which is stunningly gorgeous. I haven't opened the letter from Derren yet, and may not ever. Mystery box is taking over.
Honestly some of the most beautiful cards I’ve ever seen, they look, feel and handle great. Well worth the cost. I purchased the gift box with it, which again is beautifully crafted and just looks fantastic. I’m incredibly happy with them, a bit pricey but I don’t regret it one bit!
This is such a classy looking deck. The tuck is at once minimalist and exquisite, made to look like a gilded book. The spine has embossing, mimicking an old advert for the magician/mentalist, while sticking to the book theme and proclaiming it is the collected works of Derren Brown. The cards feel amazing, as expected from a Theory 11 deck, the back design is very ornate. I believe the pips are all custom, they look really great. It comes with a double backer for magicians, matching devil jokers with a halo, and an ad card. I would have liked a blank or other gaff instead of the ad, seeing as how this is a magician's deck, but it's tough to complain about something so minor in such a great deck.
Pure beauty, certainly something one must admire. Sure it appears only a small box with two sets of playing cards but if you look closely you will find remarkable craftsmanship in the way it is put together. Forget the doubters, I purchased two for myself, thank you Theory11. Please just keep on producing more boxed sets with the multitude of cards at your disposal.
These cards look incredible, full of subtle details, and they feel amazing in hand. They're perfect for a relaxed poker night in the study with the lads.
