Whoa, what a deck! You can instantly fall in love with the original Monarchs, but these are way over the top! The color is so vibrant yet elegant, way more appealing to me than the darker blue from the original ones, which is almost black. My true favourite Monarchs!

I have collected and played with trading cards for most of my life. Monarchs playing cards are the best I have ever used. The rich quality and feel of the cards settle you in for a night of card playing. My main playing cards are now Monarchs. Once they are in your hands you will not want to play with any other cards. These are the cards to use for a lifetime.

I’ve been a huge fan of Theory11 Monarchs. It’s important to understand, as a collector, a quality piece of art is just as important to a deck collection as the stock, courts, pips and Tuck. Adding the “purple” Monarchs just helps me continually build a gallery of fine art playing cards. They’re A++

I own most Monarch decks and I dont know it its just the batch printed, but the Purple ones I have are 2-3 cards thicker than the rest.With that being said, they still have the consistent Monarch handling, and just the tone of purple here makes it my favorite among all the Monarch Colors.

Okay, these are beautiful cards and they feel great. I can see why these would have blown away the world in 2012 or so as an amazing step above the normal in terms of class and design. But in 2020 the familiar court cards and one color back isn't quite as impressive. Metallic ink adds a touch of class, tuck box is admittedly gorgeous and the ace of spades is better than most. But I wish these had the unique touches you'd find in decks such as the Contraband or Provisions deck. The feel is soft and fluffy and slippery - I've yet to find that perfect deck with the softness of these cards and the sharp cut edges of some other brands. If you're looking for the step up from the classic rider deck, this is the way to go. Oh, and purple? Regal A F.

First off, Monarchs in general are excellent cards. They play very well and can be used for games, magic, and car destroy equally well. I think the purple Monarchs are a decent addition to the Monarchs line. In the photos, they look very purple, in actuality, they are a little muted. The tuck is very close to the navy blue Monarchs. Overall, Well done.

The cards are fantastic — they're crisp, handle beautifully, look great, and shuffle smoothly. My only issue is that both jokers are identical. I occasionally play 10-point pitch and need to designate one joker as the low or off joker. I currently use one of the promotional cards as a substitute, but it would be much better if one joker were red and the other black for easier distinction.
