theory11 Tycoon Playing Cards (Black)

Theory11 Tycoon playing cards are among my favorites. So adding the black deck to my collection was nice.

Elegant cards and tuck. Excited about starting my Tycoon collection.

Perfect for anyone who appreciates fine details and superior materials.

Sweet deck.

These cards are soooooo good. Best tuck box that I own so far, I love the white color with the shiny gold on the box and the backs. They also feel amazing. Also the ace of spades looks like pure art. This edition is probably the best because I think that the red and blue on gold looks cool and all, but the white makes it looks so much more elegant and classy, and the clock design is so cool as well.

At first I bought these alongside a deck of Monarchs simply because I wanted a deck with a black back design. What I got was a work of art. The design is simple at first glance, until you notice the fine details around the clocks and in the face cards. The handling is very nice; even after extended use and various springs, the cards are sharp and will faro or fan very nicely. A definite must have, just amazing. Oh, and by the way, the box is INCREDIBLE!

These cards a beautifully designed. The back has what seems to be two ornate clocks with Roman Numerals on them. The gold color really makes this deck stand out. The tycoons come in three other colors, however I think the Ivory has to be my favorite hands down. It comes with a double-backer, premium card, and two jokers. It does NOT come in new-deck order, instead it is in Juan Tamariz' Mnemonica stack, which can be utilized for many effects. Pick yourself up a deck or two, you won't be disappointed.

This is a wonderful deck. A wonderful work of art. The tuck case is exquisite. The detail denotes the thought and care that went into the design. It's a busy design that doesn't to seem to crowd at all. It emerges as weighty gold; as something you must have.

I really like this deck. The back design is sophisticated, and yet it has similarities with the standard Bicycle cards non-magicians know and trust. Because of that I can clearly imagine the deck being used on a variety of platforms, from card games to sleight of hand magic.I like the originality of the deck, expressed by the non-standard pips and faces of the court cards, that give it a familiar look, but also a feeling of luxury. Oh and of course the original, stacked deck order, which is refreshing and unexpected. One must mention the existence of a double backer which is always welcome, and as usual the tuck-case design is fabulous. You can really feel like these cards are a perfect fit for an exclusive prestigious event.The only problem I found with the deck is a technical one. When I opened the case for the first time I noticed that for some reason, it looks like there was some sort of ink on the inner-layer of the case which colored the sides of the deck a bit, aside from the parts covered by the little flaps, so my deck has those slightly brighter "stains" resembling the little flaps on one side. Apart from that technical thing, the deck is absolutely great, and I strongly recommend it to magicians, especially if their style of magic is more the "fancy" type.

I'm far from being a "Tycoon"; however, holding a deck of cards like these, well, I certainly feel like one. Right out of the box, they function well. The detail is incredible. I only own a few of the black decks. It would be nice to own a few of the white/gold ones, but I'd really like to see a teal, or a red. Anyway, I love this deck.
