theory11 Tycoon Playing Cards (Ivory)

Tycoons have been one of my favorite designs since the original red and blue editions were released, and this Gold Edition feels like the ultimate evolution of that style. The shiny gold looks stunning against the white background; I hope Theory11 uses this color combination more often; it's elegant and luxurious!

As a collector who owns at least one of every deck theory11 has ever produced; aside from a pre-release Blue or an EMP Monarch, I can say with absolute confidence that these cards not only live up to, but in some ways surpass, the extremely high bar T11 has set for themselves and the rest of the industry. The gold finish is flawless, and the contrast between the gold and the light background is nothing short of hypnotic. Combine this with the outstanding handling (second only to USPCC, who used to print for you) and the luxurious aesthetic, and you've got a winning combination; one that's truly a game-changer. Card manufacturers, take note: this is what quality looks like!

I love the Tycoon series, and this deck is absolutely spectacular! The gold foil on the backs is stunning, and the overall design is just beautiful. I can't wait to use these in some of my routines alongside my other Tycoon decks.

Just going off the photos, the Midas edition looks like luxury personified. That gold foil detailing? Unreal. It gives off serious art gallery meets secret society vibes. If it handles even half as good as it looks, it's going to be an instant favorite.

I'm a fan of most Theory11 offerings but especially so of the more traditionally themed decks. As they were just made available in this "Midas" gold colorway, I'll be anxious to soon have these in my hands to update my set of "Tycoon" playing cards.
