theory11 Union Themed Playing Cards

This design looks better in person than in the photos. The box is way better in person as well with the rose gold foil that doesn't show well in photos. Appreciate the American theme and history and glad to have it in the collection. It's very well done.

The pictures looked somewhat plain on the website, but when I went through the cards upon receiving them, I appreciated the details and design of them. The cards are very unique in an antique kind of way.

These are awesome cards! Super sharp and crisp. I want to do card magic with them, but they look too good to risk dropping them on the corners and bending them! So I let them rest on my card collection shelf and take them out for few deck cuts every now and then. Definitely a deck to own!

You can tell these cards were made with passion.

T11, the "Union" is a fantastically designed deck. What a wonderful fully-custom deck. Well done from the tuck box to the card back to the great card face. The "Union" is one of my most prized decks. True American history in my hands.

What an awesome deck of cards!! I love the patriotic / historic design!! All custom cards with court cards based on the American Revolution!! Amazing idea!! I LOVE the back design! The eagles make it look like a piece of american currency of some sort!! A+ to Theory11 and the designer!!

So Elegant. So beautiful. I could sit there and just look at the box without opening it, I would be so afraid to break it. The cards are so beautiful too. This truly shows dedication to our country. It is amazing. This is were I will be buying my cards from now on; they aren't cheap plain cards, these are cards that have had feeling put into them.

This deck is apiece of artwork in your pocket! The tuck case is made to last, and the design is elegant. The cards come out of the pack ready to perform. I was able to do a perfect farrro right away. The design of the cards bring out a true American spirit filled with Americana artwork. Whether you are a collector or performer you will not be disappointed!

This is a really cool and beautiful deck! Even knowing the theme and seeing the previews of the cards, I’m not sure if it’s just me, but they feel even better than most of the decks from theory11... which is really saying something, because every deck from this site feels great in your hands, fans beautifully, and springs great right out of the box. But somehow this deck felt even better? Maybe that’s just in my head? I loved the subtle/not so subtle historical nods to American history (poor Ben Franklin just never could convince the nation that a turkey would be a far superior symbol than an eagle...hence the turkey jokers vs the eagles on the backs.) There truly are too many beautiful American Revolution historical nuggets to talk about in one review, but can be found spread throughout the gorgeous design of each and every custom card, from the jokers, to the ace of spades, to the courts, the back design, and the tuck case itself, the entire concept is simply stunning through and through. At a time when we could all use a reminder of hope and really acts as a reminder to live up to those freedom, hope, and equality.

Union is an excellent deck for the ace of spades and the jokers alone. The ace depicts the a bald eagle in full spread with an American banner as the backdrop. The jokers depict turkeys displaying their tail feathers, which is an homage to Ben Franklin’s choice for national bird. Union also features and intricately foiled tuck box and fully custom pips and court cards. Unfortunately, the design theme seems somewhat confused. The ad copy and photos suggest revolutionary origins, but the name is most closely associated with the civil war era and the court cards depict various characters from what appears to be the mid 19th to early 20th centuries. The designs are well executed, but the theme lacks cohesiveness.
