Thera-Med Universal Pad, Cold Pack, Ice Pack for Ankles, Wrists, Elbows & Knees

I've used one of these gel cold packs for several years, and it's finally coming apart!! I was happy to find one similar at Walmart. The newer version is even better, because it has fabric on one side and the vinyl on the other . . . makes one side even colder. The older version had vinyl on both sides and it got pretty "wet" after about 15 minutes of use. This new one stays cold longer and no wetness.

Perfect cold pack because of the built in 'handle' and pliability. Doesn't get 'stiff' even straight from the freezer. One side is covered with soft fabric.

It is nice to have this in the freezer on stand-by for injuries, aches and pains. When the one side begins to warm up, I turn it over to the colder side for extra time. I don't have to struggle to keep the pad in place because the strap keeps the pack in place for my knee when needed.

Great ice pack because it straps tight wrap around. Has two cold sides. Cold and very cold.

I purchased this for my wife and she loves it. She uses the cold pad and wraps it around her knee to reduce swelling and inflammation due to arthritis.. The pad gets cold quickly in the freezer. The long Velcro strap secures the pad in place on her knee. She take it to work and uses it through the day, one hour on and one hour off. She places it in the freezer at work and at home. The pad does not get very cold in the refrigerator; it must be put in the freezer.

The cold pack is flexible, so you can wrap it around knees, shoulders, and knees in a better way. It stays cold for a reasonable amount of time. The only problem is that it comes with a detachable velcro strap to keep the cold pack on you. The strap is easy to lose. I wish they had straps directly attached to the cold pack. The cold packs are a little pricey, but if they will last you a long time, and are more comfortable and easier than using bags of ice. I'm happy with the purchase.

I bought two each of this and Sunbeam. Both are good, but I prefer the Sunbeam because the dual Velcro ties keep it more securely located.

The item arrived on time. It works well. I had used them before. I wore the old ones i had out. They wore well.

I haven't used this yet. Wanted to have on hand so I would have it when I needed it.

This does not look at all like the picture. The slots that the velcro strap goes through are totally different and very thin. Seems like they would break after just a few uses. I returned mine.
