I purchased this lamp because during the cold winter months I don't get much sunlight and SAD (seasonal Affective Disorder) runs in my family. I started using it a couple of weeks ago, and what a change! My mood has improved by using it as a reading lamp, and keeping my bare arm exposed to it for a couple of hours a day. I decided to order from Walmart, because they could deliver it much faster than Amazon (which had a 2 week wait). Walmart delivered it in 3 - 4 days. I will definitely be using Walmart much more as my go-to online option.
I can really feel the difference before my SAD symptoms, and now it's been 1 month of use ( vitamine D added daily of course), I feel way much better, seeing life more positively, being motivated since the morning. It is subtil and not efficient the first day obviously, but I can say I felt much better already after 1 week of use. The lamp is simple to use, but the material is not that strong. The base of the head is fragile, so I don't really dare to adjust it. If you stay in the same position, it will be fine. Good luck to you !
Great experience. Thanks.
After only two weeks, I already sleep better and I'm less depressed.
The TheraLite Aura LUX lamp is a quality productive. Great results for an affordable price! Highly recommend!!
Great lighting for office work. The wife loves the lamp for sitting and watching TV and or working on the computer.
Overall, I liked this lamp! But the information about the product left out one important element: right at the front of the instruction booklet, it says "This light should not be used on patients with macular degeneration". I would've liked to have known this BEFORE I ordered it, as I have very mild M.D. I thought todays modern lamps were consider safe for everyone--even folks with eye issues. So did i send the light back, you ask? No. i realized it just means that I shouldnt use it "daily" for therapy now, but occasional use, like for a lamp to pay bills, to do crafts once in a while (but not daily) would be ok. I love the design of it and the light truly is bright (i turn the brightness down to make it less intense too because of my M.D. ) I think its good that light therapy has come down in price. (I once paid 250 dollars for a used one that I only used briefly!) So while i liked this product enough to keep it, it sure wouldve been nice if they'd let the customers know up front that those with macular degeneration shouldn't use it for daily therapy!
I like most of the features accept the small knob you have to turn in order to adjust the angle of the light. I would like it more if it was easier to change the angle as I will adjust it often. If you will keep it in the exact spot, it is a great light.
This light was much larger and brighter then I expected and does not work for my needs but would be good for someone looking for more intense lighting for winter! It was a very good price for this particular lamp as well!
The Theralite Aura Bright Light Therapy Lamp, with its 10,000 LUX, has become a crucial part of my daily routine. Its easy setup and stand design, ensuring the light shines down, make it convenient for desk or table use. Despite these positives, a significant drawback is the absence of a visual indicator for the lumen level. Pressing the or - buttons doesn't always clearly convey the current setting. If not for this flaw, I'd easily rate it 5 stars. A lumens level indicator would enhance user experience and eliminate any guesswork, making an otherwise excellent lamp even better.
