1 min 10 seconds in my microwave and i have great moist heat for my back. Tie it around your waist do a few chores for 15 minutes. Absolutely love it, my second one.

Relief!
I use these heat packs daily. Stay warm longer. I don't use the cold. You go about doing some things also. Because they tie around you. Last a long time. I tend to reheat mine to often . Still last a year or longer.
