ThermoPro Digital Meat Thermometer Super-Fast Thermocouple for Cooking, Grilling, Candy

I would love to know why it is so difficult to find meat thermometers that can accurately register the internal temperature of meat. I mean, this is their only job. It's not like blenders or food processors that have to perform multiple tasks. No. Just the one. Maybe I‘ve been unlucky, but it seems everytime I buy these things, I get stuck with a dud. I've tried every type of thermometer there is, from the cheap dial type to the expensive probe. Each in it's turn has misled me in some horrifying way to either plough into an undercooked brisket and contract e coli, or throw away hardearned money leatherizing a $30 filet mignon. Now finally the meat thermometer gods have seen fit to smile down on me. This thermometer is simple to use, accurate, no frills, no muss, no fuss, and is inexpensive. I know it us accurate because it accurately measures the ambient temperature. The day I take it out and it's 65 degrees and it tells me it's 82 degress, I'll know simething is wrong.

Love this thermometer. Instant readings. Never knew how much I was missing this in ky kitchen. Also, has magnets so I can keep it at the ready by attaching to my vent hood instead of buried in one of my drawers!

It is fast and accurate also easy to use.

I was looking for a product that provided a near instant reading while maintaining accuracy. This does both. It is easy to use and has additional convenience features, such as the fold-away probe and magnetic attachment.

item appears well made for price tested it in cup of ice water went to 34 degrees rapidly then took out and went to room temp rapidly used on pork chops on grill gave quick and what i felt was accurate reading ,have not passed long term test yet

Didn't last long. Went to draw greasy probe through a soapy sponge and the probe pulled out of the handle/body, wire and all!! POOR QUALITY.

For the price it's made very cheap and it won't even turn off so I have to take out the batteries. I will be returning it..
