Works really well for kids school lunches. I preheat the thermos with boiling water for 3-5 minutes before I dump out the water, and then add the lunch for that day. So far, the lunch has been warm/hot every single time we have used the thermos (that is after approximately 4-5 hours of being at school). For the price and how well it has performed, I highly recommend. (Plus it looks very nice in person).

This is the perfect size for a lunch box and it is easy for kids to open without leaking. I can prepare a healthy hot lunch in the morning and the send the littles off. This makes it easy for them to have their favorite meals for lunch. It also keeps the fruit or salad nice and crisp. There is also no browning in the fruit. I love this because trying to explain to a five year old that the fruit isn't old is no longer a battle I have to have. I'm very satisfied with this purchase and I may buy a few more for my lunch tote.

We recently bought this for a second thermos for my daughter's lunch. It keeps her food warm and she loves the color.

It's a nice thermos , bought it for my 3 year old and the volume is enough for her main meal at lunch in preschool. Color is bright pink and pretty. It doesn't seem to keep food hot for long though, food seems lukewarm warm after 4-5h.

Title says it. I want to like this more than I actually do. PROS: 1. Price - I got two for the price of one in other brands. (I guess you get what you pay for though right?) 2. Color options - Kids are picky about stuff like that. Thermos brand came with more available options. 3. Easy open 4. Size - plenty big enough for a kid-size lunch for sure, but even an adult portion of most things will fit in here without it being too bulky for an average-sized lunch bag. CONS 1. It doesn't insulate all that well. I read the reviews. I filled this thing with actual boiling water (not just hot from the tap) for more than five minutes before putting the heated food in it. I put the cap on the water to ensure as much heat as possible was trapped. The container was hot (not just warm) to the touch when I poured it out and put in the warmed food. I sealed it up immediately and put it on the kitchen counter at room temp for five hours (because it says it can keep food warm that long). When I opened it, the food was only slightly warmer than room temp. Mine was a test batch for the purpose of this review. But I would not have liked eating my pork chop at the temp it was when I opened it. I reheated it again in the microwave on a plate. We have a Bentgo one of these also, and I can tell you from the weight of the cup and the feel of it, that the Thermos container does not have near as much material. It's much lighter, and ultimately (obviously) much less effective at keeping the food warm. As for its overall rating in this department, it's better than a non-insulated container would do, but it's NOT really a good solution IMO. 2. The silicone ring keeps falling out and into the container. I have two of these...it happens on both. So it's clearly a design flaw. Maybe this is why it won't keep food warm enough. I put it back on, and when I remove the lid, the ring is down inside it again. Every time. So yeah, lots of pros. But the one thing I need it to do (keep food warm for hours) it kinda fails at. Would not buy again. In fact, might call these a loss and buy more Bentgo versions.

Placed Alfredo in this container for my child to take to school, and not even 5 hours later for their lunch, my child said the Alfredo was cold. They still ate it because they were hungry but I had higher expectations for this product.

I did not feel it held the heat as long as it should have. The color was nice.
