These thin ribeyes are so flavorful and literally cook up fast in a fry pan at about 2 min per side . Very careful not to overcook ! I fry them in butter and it browns them up nicely ! Rib eye is my favorite steak. I switched to these as the thicker ones went way up in price and I don’t really need the larger portion . Unfortunately these have also gone way up in recent months . I was paying about $17 a package and the recent one was $22, which is close to what the thicker ones cost prior to going up . They were at $32 when I stopped getting them so I’m sure they’re much higher now .
Very tender, easy and as fast to cook as if you’re making an over easy egg and delicious. I like the fatty stuff on the meat when it’s browned a little OMG This is the quickie that surprises you: get a pan add butter, salt, garlic powder and black pepper tssss it in pan few minutes, turn over few minutes then go to town
The Walmart shoppers are usually really good at picking out items, but once in a while you may have a shopper that doesn't stop and check dates or labels where a can might be with another item , ex. hot might be mixed in with mild, no beans/with beans, might not look closely at the experation dates milk might expire in 2 days. Just little things and not often it's only happened twice in several years. BUT I have messed up when doing my own shopping just like everyone else, so you can't get mad at a minor mistake.
I know it's thin but for affordability and flavor these thin steaks work just the same, cook on the grill or in the black iron skillet, slow cooking is best, great for seniors who cannot eat a thick cut steak, great quality and value for the money. Highly recommend. and will buy agin!
I didn't like how thin these steaks were, but I made the best of it anyway. I marinated them for the entire day and then I fried them up on the stove top on my grill pan. I was worried I wouldn't be able to cook them the way I like my steak , medium rare. But surprisingly, I cooked them to the exact medium rare that I like. They ended up being really delicious and my daughter and I really enjoyed them. I personally am not a fan of them being so this and for the price of $30 too...nonetheless they ended up being so good. Next time I will pay closer attention when ordering my steaks for delivery and I won't get the thin cut ones. They were a great cut. Just not really worth the $30 price , in my opinion.
Walmart meat is low quality and the use by date is usually one or two days from purchase date. You better use the smell test even if its on or before the use by date. Ive thrown away 3 roasts now. I used the smell test on this one. Look at the use by date. This was on the use by date. WM wanted me to somehow get this back to the store to get a refund. The only reason I use WM delivery is because I don't have a car. Beware.
Home delivered. One pack had 2 thin cuts the other had 1 thin and 1 thick cut. I ordered 2 packs of thick cuts. I rubbed them with Cowboy something or other and they tasted just OK. I thought they'd be a bit more tender. And because of the wrong item being sent, we sort of ran out of meat. I only had a bite and said I wasn't hungry. Good thing I had plenty of biscuits and corn!
Please STOP trimming the fat. Ribeyes are purchased for their fat. Some of us need extra fat in our diets and when I place order online for pickup and receive a package with the fat trimmed , it defeats the purpose of purchasing the steak. I’m very disappointed with this purchase. Please do better. I’m disabled %26 my income is limited … this was a waste of $20 for me :(
I have 20 of 54 items that were NOT received yesterday. This item %231. Summary: I called customer service. The rep took 1 item at a time and I provided the price. So many things were missing from my order that she literally had submit the refund request in stages. I called again today for an update. Customer Service cannot assist further, it's now a “request” I am told 5-10 Business Days for a refund???
they never gave me my ribeye steak. They gave me all the rest of my food. They marked it as the steak was sold to me, but the steak was not inside my bag so that means even somebody stole my steak or they forgot the bag then I called the automated system and they say they cannot refund me or replace my steak like what type of stuff is that so y'all get to not get people to our food and take their money
