The top looked great, but hid terrible slices below. There were just two good slices on top. Below those pristine slices were all end pieces, loaded with fat, half the size and barely useful. I was not just disappointed, I was angered. I'd bought this for rouladen, and the rolls were hard to make and ugly, needing two - three rolls per serving instead of one. This was deceptive and simply wrong - very wrong. Covering up bad quality is bad business. Shame on you, Walmart. They tasted good and cooked up very tender, to their credit, but they were seriously poorly cut and meant to deceive.
I must say I’m not a big red meat person at all…… BUT…. I am not disappointed at all. I made this meat at the request of my husband because he wanted some fajita style meat to go with some sides I had prepared previously. Well, I made this and ended up buying it three more times. When cooked right this meat is the best melting your mouth meat you will ever chew on. I made broccoli beef twice out of this meat, and I made again the fajita style meat. What was my secret? I simply marinated and cut up the meat the night before I made it. Once I was ready to cook it I put about 4 tablespoons of high heat, extra-virgin olive oil along with some chopped onions and bell peppers. Then I slowly added in some chicken broth and a little bit more seasoning and let it simmer on medium heat for roughly 30 minutes while covered. During that simmering process, I also stirred the meat. I cooked it for an additional 15 minutes on low and it was done. It was actually done at 30 minutes, but I decided to go an extra 15 to make it that much more tender. And that is the cooking process. I will use for this meat from now on because it is truly melting your mouth there’s no work involved in having to properly chew it in order for it to digest properly.
Thin Sliced Bottom Round Beef Steak, 8 per tray, is fantastic! Fresh, tender, and perfect for quick cooking, stir-fries, or sandwiches. The 0.34–2.0 lb size is convenient for families or meal prep. High quality, flavorful, and versatile—highly recommend!
This steak is the multitasker of meats—stir-fry it, grill it, sandwich it, or just stare at it lovingly before devouring. It’s lean, mean, and cooks faster than my patience on a Monday night. Cheap, cheerful, and full of beefy attitude. Bottom round? More like top tier.
I like this cut, they 're perfect for making sammiches! Or, for what I use them for, steak rolls. Once they get cooked, you can put some sort of filling on them, roll them up and pin them with a toothpick. Another great snack! OR you can cut them into strips for making Mongolian Beef or Teriyaki steak snacks :)
These steaks are thin enough that they cook quickly. I use these to make the popular "Philly Cheese Steak" sandwich. I use swiss or provolone cheese slices, saute greenpepper and onion slices, and mushrooms. I prefer using baguettes. They like a mini french bread 🥖 loaf. Assemble the sandwich and enjoy!!
I've found Baking slowly yields best results for tenderness. Might as well cook the entire package, it's that good. I use Kinder seasoning, fresh basil, and Adolphs seasoning. I ate straight from the dish minutes out of the oven. Before I knew it, it was all gone! Oh, tip line baking dish with Reynolds Wrap foil or wrap meat and seasonings directly in Reynolds Wrap foil then place in dish.
Thin cuts are tough if fried in skillet. However if placed in slow cooker and seasoned with seasoned meat tenderisezer and EVO, sliced mushrooms and red ,yellow, and green bell peppers and sliced onion strips and cooked on low for 6 to 8 hours they will be tender and with a little sword there sauce and served on toasted Hogue buns with sliced Swiss cheese or cheese of choice they make great sandwiches or just make rice or pasta and serve it topped with the steak and peppere, mushrooms and onions. We like it both ways. Philly cheese steaks with peppers, onions and mushrooms are great as well as topped on baked poratoes.
These are sliced impossibly Thin. Pkg only contained 7 super Slim Slices. See photo! I've seen thicker Bologna!? Because of the extreme Thinness they are virtually Impossible to Cook to any Desired condition, like Med Rare. Package portion also limited, small. It might be just barely enough for 2 SMALL 'Steak A Jus' sandwiches that were cooked Well Done. Nothing that I was expecting or needing. Disappointing.
While I can't return it because I cooked the whole package, added a can of mushrooms and painstakingly fried onions and mixed it in, it was too tough to chew. While I've come to expect some chewy steaks, like porterhouse or ribeyes, I don't expect it in cheesesteak cuts. I know that unless the buyers are stupid, they have to know what they are buying to sell to us poor victims. I would hope that I can get a refund for the meat since it was so far below standard I fed it to the dogs and cats. Please, whoever reads this put in a good word for me as I'm old and can't afford to throw money away like this. I do most of my shopping here and you can see, if you want to, that I'm not a complainer. Help resolve this suck purchace if you will be so kind. Thanks
