The language learning cards are thoughtfully designed, with clear instructions, many uses, and lots of educational fun for toddlers and young kids. An instruction guide is included, which is actually really helpful. I opened the box and immediately thought of some fun ways to use the cards with my 19 month old daughter. When I looked through the guide though, I realized there were tons of different ways to use them that I hadn't thought of. Matching, sorting, and plenty of other tasks for different ages and stages are detailed. The cards themselves are durable and a nice size for little hands and parents also. There's a mix of photos and cartoon images of basic starter words. Things like animals, articles of clothes, food, and furniture are some of the categories. On the back are the name of the image (ex: ball, sheep), the category it falls into, along with features and functions. It was surprising to see my 19 month old and almost 4 year old work together with these. With my 4 year old, we played find the thing that matches this description, and my 19 month old matched the cartoon image to its photo counterpart, along with naming the picture. I love the learning cards, and I think they're a great investment in a young kid's vocabulary.
I received the ThinkPsych Noun Photo Flash Cards the Homeschool Educational Game for Toddlers. My nephews are 2 and 4, so these cards are perfect for them. For each noun, there are 3 pictures to represent it. There are different things about each noun to teach them on the back of each card. Now, my nephews were too young to focus on that. They just found 3 ducks, 3 balls, 3 dogs, etc. And then, like we were playing school, I had them do a test where I showed them a flash card and then they write down what was on it. They had a lot of fun.
This was a perfect gift to give my niece for her 2 and 3 year old girls. Easy to see, and sturdy for their little hands. Since one has a slight speech problem this will help with that also, and it has a language tracker. I would recommend this for anyone who has young children in their life.
I got these flashcards for my two-year-old and they have been helping him learn various common household items. The items can be anything from cupcakes, bicycles apples etc. There are multiple flashcards that have different representations of these items. For example, one flash card will have a photograph of the item and then another flash card will have a drawing of the item so my child will see this item in multiple ways. On the back of the flash card there is a list of what the item is associated with. For example,if it's a bed there is a list of features with blankets pillows etc. And there's a list with the item's functions. For example the bed is used for sleeping. I haven't seen this with other flashcards. Overall I think these cards are great and will be helpful for a few more years to come as my child learns how to read. I also think these flashcards will be great for somebody who is trying to learn English and would like to learn these common items as well as to know the context of these items in various settings. These flashcards come in a nice storage box and because they're small they're easy to use and portable. They have been very useful and I highly recommend them.
I love using these first noun flash cards with my 2.5 year old. I show her the picture and help her to identify it. I think it's definitely helping with her language skills and learning what items are. The cards are thick and durable and there is a great variety of them. I like that there is a picture on one side and a description on the other. Overall, we are very impressed and look forward to continue using these to help with her language development.
These flash cards are awesome! The pictures are clear & precise. No "cartoon-y" pictures to question what exactly the object is. Nice, clear font on the back of the card to say what the object is. The card's size & colors are very helpful, making them easy to use. My grandson can be in his jumperoo & still be able to see what they are. I cannot hold him on my lap & show him the cards because he gets so excited by the pictures of the animals that he wants to grab them. That being said, the materials these cards are made of is quite durable! I highly recommend this product!
First off the cards are well made and laminated so will hold up well to little hands. My 4 year old granddaughter loved to pair the different groups together. I could see this would be a great learning set for teachers. The directions were easy to follow... two thumbs up for sure :)
Think Psych Language Learning Cards Comes with 150 cards Measures 3” x 3” There are 50 unique words and a chart for documenting when the learner has identified by pointing and identified by using synonyms or alternative means of language. These cards are easy to use. Many ways to begin using – start by matching, sorting into objects that are similar (colors, features, or objects like tails or wheels.) I appreciate the instruction manual with easy to follow user instructions and words to say. These cards are an interactive way to engage with the learner (no matter the learner's age.) I would never use a timer with these cards – to me, timing adds pressure that removes the fun and positive connections in learning. The instructions include reminders to take breaks. Use the cards for like 5-10 minutes at a time with the young learner. The instruction book is made from laminated paper – super easy to keep clean! I like the included website information to see videos for how to use along with ways to use and other cards that can enhance the given words.
They are not super bright but still looks great. They're not flimsy they are great quality. Perfect for their little hands. Great for learning while making it fun
