This Island Earth [DVD]

This Island Earth is great film that stands the test of time. This DVD has excellent quality picture and sound.

I saw this as a teenager when earth invasion movies were the it factor along with Day the Earth Stood Still and War of the Worlds. Shows like this are copied over and over but the originals are a must to have. Depicts how an invasion is stopped bcs of alien benevolence and understanding of the human right to our planet. Get it for your collection...its almost as good as Forbidden Planet. thank you Walmart for you making these old ones available!

Excellent copy of a classic film.

This is one of my all time favorites. Saw it when it first came out. Right up there with the original War of the worlds.

I saw this many years ago when it first came out. I knew what it was. I like a lot of classic movies and this is great.

This movie I also saw at the Theater when I was younger and kept me on the edge of my seat at times. Now they are not so scary but fun to watch again. This movie starts out with two scientists building a special device that is sent to them from a huminoid type alien that is on Earth. Through the device they make frist contact. The one scientist then is flown to the aliens location where other earth scientists are to help them make energy for their depleted planet. Later in the movie they leave Earth in a spaceship to the dying planet and and have confortations with the various aliens, then come back to Earth at the end. This movie is action packed and the special effects throughout are very good. The quality of the DVD movie is very good and the acting flows very well. If you like older Alien and spacship movies, this one is for you. ScifibufDT
