Thomas & Friends Adventures Ashima

I got Ashima to review and it was a perfect choice for my 4 yr old Thomas and friends fanatic. The colors are vibrant, the weight and size is just right and the total feel of it is absolutely great. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I recieved Ashima as a promotional toy from Mattel. She is a very beautifully designed train with painted on india style print. It is made of diecast and plastic and feels very durable and the designs are finely detailed, bright, and very clear. It also has a magnet on the front and back so Ashima can be connected to other Thomas and friends trains. The train has lots of pink and bright colors on a dark blue body so it is perfect for both girls and boys to play with! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I received this product for my honest review. Days before receiving I lrt my son know he would receive a "prize" in the mail. After letting him open the box my son was ecstatic! He has another train that this train connected to. The magnet in front not only is very cool but connects to other things also and I see it as a learning opportunity. I received this toy, for free, in return for my unbiased review of the toy. Shipping of the toy was really fast. The toy is made of real and strong metal. My daughter loves Thomas and Friends toys. I showed her the train and she went nuts. She had the biggest smile on her face. The train rolls with ease and is portable to take with you. The train is very durable and took the tortures my daughter put it through. It was dropped, pushed off edge of table, put in her mouth, and crashed into walls. It held-up and didn't damage the train at all. Very impressed with the quality and detail of train. The intricate detail of the train is amazing. It looks like a real train. Like the little face on the front of the train, so cute. I highly recommend purchasing this train, for your little one, they will love it. My son just loves Thomas I thought I would surprise him with a new character Ashima. His first reaction it's for girls! But after awhile he was up & playing with it, he just loves it!! I love how his imagination comes out when he interacts with his trains. It connects to his other trains with the magnet & they pull along with each other. I got this a little over a week ago for my almost 4 year old son. He has played with it pretty much every day since. He likes to play with it with his other cars on his play mat. It is magnetic so you can attach other trains to it. I think it would be more fun the more trains you have. The train seems durable and will likely last a long time. My 2 year old daughter was so excited when opening this! She loves trains and I was so happy that they have a train with pinks & purples. The colors on this train are so vibrant and bold. It is very easy and smooth to push back and forth. The only complaint is that my children thought it was going to be compatible with their wooden train set and its not. They played with this train on it's own and also with their Hot Wheels cars and tracks Overall, they seem to enjoy this train very much!. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

We were so excited to finally add Ashima to our collection of Thomas merchandise. This toy features the standard sturdy, quality production of the other diecast Take-and-Play trains, with an attractive colorful design. Although her movie hasn't yet been released in the US, my toddler recognized her from trailers and marketing and immediately wanted to take her out of her packaging. (His baby brother was pleased for the opportunity to chew on the packaging. :)) My only criticism is that the body shape is not an accurate representation of the animated Ashima's beautiful structure. We received this toy as apart of the rate and review group. It's a very durable product and is able to withstand the rough play of my 3 year old boy. It's painted very uniquely and well done. It stands out when parked next to the other trains. The magnetic bumper is larger than the other trains we own and looks different in that aspect, but overall a nice train to add to the collection. The detail is very nice on this one, except on the front on the lower sides. It's mostly die cast, which is nice and getting more rare. My only real problem with Ashima is; there are too many layers of paint, and it chips very easily.
