Thomas & Friends Beachy Nia Toy Train Play Vehicle, Motorized Engine with Cargo, Preschool Toys

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Thomas Train Set packaging was sturdy, but very easy to remove the toy from packaging. The 3 pieces came connected and were easy from my 4 year old to take apart and put back together. There was a set of instructions, which came in multiple languages, however I found it difficult to locate the English instructions and therefore my daughter and I just began playing with the set. I was unaware for the first 15 minutes that the train needed batteries, as the packaging and instructions were not clear in stating the train set needed 2 AAA batteries to operate in its own. My daughter liked pushing and pulling the train over her plastic table, the carpet floor and kitchen tiles. I noticed there was a lever atop the traim engine, which made me question whether the toy needed batteries. I reviewed the packaging and could not locate anything that said what kind of batteries were needed, so I continued to check the instructions again. I finally found I needed a screwdriver to remove the top of the engine and add the AAA batteries, and oh my did my daughter have a blast. Putting the lever forward, atop the engine, turns on the motor. The Thomas train is made of solid plastic, which seems very durable. The removable ball, I would throw a couple feet, and my daughter used the train to capture the ball and kick it back with the train wheels. We couldnt believe how quickly the train moved. Again, we tested the tabletop, the kitchen tile and our carpet, but we also used our leather ottoman. The train seems to be able to travel over pretty much every type of material!!! What a fabulous feature!!! The train pretty much went straighz, except while on the carpet, where it would be turned slightly in different directions. I would highly recommend the Thomas train set for children ages 3-6. My child is heading toward 5, and although I wasnt sure that she would be as interested in this toy, she had a blast playing with it, and so did I!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this train for my two young girls ages 2 and 4. They both love it. It moves at a good speed. Enough to race other cars we have, but not so fast that it gets away from them. The little wheels are pretty powerful and can go over decent sized bumps without getting stuck. Every detail of the beach theme is really cute, even down to the train wearing sunglasses. We like how you can remove the beach ball for extra play. Definitely a worthwhile toy for our ages!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great fun toy to pretend play at the beach with a ball and sandcastle. Can take batteries to run on the track, but not necessary. The train cars come apart so they can be swapped out with others from the series and also added on for a longer set.

Works great with the tracks we already have. It's a good addition to the Thomas track my son has. My son is really happy playing this new toy. 

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beachy Nia was a great addition to my grandsons train sets. The train is plastic but very sturdy. The hitch for both the attached cars work really well and the ball and "sand train" we a lot of fun to play with. All of these Thomas Friends trains are so much fun to play with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thomas the train was played with by my grandson. The size of the pieces of the train are perfect for small hands. The plastic seems durable for accidental dropping by small hands also. The colors are bright and eye catching for little ones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for my honest review. Thomas and friends beachy Nia is a great little train set to add to any kids collection! We have many of these little trains because my son is obsessed with thomas and anything trains. It comes with Nia and 2 pull behind units. There is a sand sculpture and a beach ball that can be interchangeable between the 2 units. It takes 2 triple a batteries which last quite awhile. They are easily installed by removing 1 small screw from the underneath of the train. My 2 year old gives it 2 thumbs up and has been taking Nia everywhere with him.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love all things trains over here! The Thomas and Friends Beachy Nia toy train did not disappoint! My 3 year LOVED it! Nia is decorated in a "Going to the Beach" them. She's rocking those shades! She's also towing behind her a beach ball and a sandcastle. The sand castle has a notch that allows it to stay on the car without falling off. The beachball also has this notch, so you can choose to let the beach ball roll back and forth in the open car or mount it to the car. This was a perfect addition to our Thomas collection.

The beach ball was quickly discarded but they love the train. It's small so nice and to take places and not a lot of room to store
