My child is mesmorized by this Thomas Avalanche escape playset, but has a hard time sitting to watch the toy without pushing it. As a battery operated train, it is hard for him to push along tacks. The avalanche drop become fairly easily disconnected.
This was a really cool toy. I really liked the falling bridge. The only thing I would improve is Thomas's car falls off the track really easily.
This is the best trackmaster set in my opinion. My 5 year old grandson loves this toy. He has several trains going at the same time which makes it all the more exciting.
My 3 year old grandson wanted a "wed weyoo weyoo nini" (red fire truck) for his birthday and I found the exact truck he had wished for. The little water hose is the highlight of his toy. He and his older brother are enjoying playing with this well-sized truck! Good quality, too.
The track was easily put together, but you have to make sure that you keep it on a level surface or it will not line up properly when Thomas initiates the avalanche. after a few minutes of adjusting to line up the avalanche it would go on forever. the instructions could have had a little more information for the green support pieces. My son did not want to stop playing with it once it was set up. I am so glad my son got to try the product for free thanks to Fisher-Price®
My son has been in love with Thomas the Train since he was 18 months old so any Thomas purchase always equals happiness in our house. The only drawbacks with the larger trackmaster sets are they are never made to fit on train tables so you have to set up on the floor and don't lose a piece or they can't be set up properly anymore.
It kept my child entertained the longest of all the toys. However, unless tracks were positioned just right, the train derailed. He had a lot of fun with it and is a big Thomas lover
Got the chance to try this toy free from fisher price. Keeps the boys entertained for hours! They love that thomas jumps the track and pick up fossils. My fave part is the reset function. It took a little while to set up and not all the parts are labeled but as far as the kiddos go its a five star.
I received this playset as a #BzzAgent and #GotItFree thanks to Fischer Price. Lots of fun for kids - not so much for parents. My boys (2&5) LOVE watching Thomas burst through doors, cross the collapsing bridge, leap through the air, collect a fossil, and be surprised by a Scrap Monster! I dont like that the instructions were not written well (keep the box- you'll need it) and that the track constantly needs to be adjusted to run continuously. If you have the older TrackMaster sets you can connect them to this one using the adapter pieces included. Overall my boys love it -even after I said no more repairs- they "helped" Thomas along at the gap. I would recommend this playset for children who are familiar with TrackMaster, older children (5-7), or parents that don't mind tweaking the track every couple of minutes. A few tweaks from the manufacturer and this could be a 5 star toy.
I like the fact that it isn't just your ordinary train track that just goes around and around in circles. I like that it goes through different places in order to make the next big thing happen. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that it's so easy to get off track and put back on.
