Thank you Fisher Price for changing the Thomas Wooden Railway designs back to how they used to be!!! I was pleasantly surprised to open the package to find "Emily's" updated look. I was disappointed two years ago to see that the Thomas Wooden Railway line underwent a make over, which in my opinion cheapened how the product looked and also made it incompatible with the original railway sets. However, this is no longer the case and the look and quality of the product is loads better. My almost 2 year old and 4.5 year old were eager to add Emily to their existing wooden railway set as soon as we unpacked her, and they spent loads of time playing. I definitely reccomend Emily and the rest of the wooden railway toys for any child, whether they are obsessed with trains or not! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Emily is the perfect addition to our Thomas the Train train set! This is a high-quality wooden piece. The magnet connectors allow it to connect to the other train cars too. The colors are bright and vivid and so colorful. Made with real wood. This train really creates a lot of entertainment for my kids. They love how fun it is and they can be creative too. This train is so nice. The wood is lightweight with great detail. We have both metal and plastic Thomas trains. The metal are too heavy and difficult to pull a lot of trains. The plastic ones (especially the longer trains) are difficult to pull through tight corners. This one has the perfect length cars, strong magnets and light weight. The best of all worlds. The wooden Thomas line is extremely well built to stand up to rough play by children 2+. The paint application was precise and the magnetic feature is well grounded to be safe for little ones. My daughter chose Emily and loves pulling it around on her play mat. She is very interested in the ‘pull' from the magnets which definitely breeds curiosity. My child is obsessed with trains and was excited to open this one. He liked that it was someone other than Thomas. I like the fact that it wasn't bulky and heavy like other wooden trains that I've seen in the past. The design was simple and cute and I don't have to worry as much about little pieces falling off. My daughter loved this, because she recognized her from the show. She's been taking one of two pieces almost everywhere with her - including the park for her brother's baseball games.
