We purchased our Thor 36 Inch Professional gas range back in 2016. We couldn't have asked for a better centerpiece for our kitchen. Burners cook well and evenly, and the oven has space for any baking project we envision! Maintenance is the only issue we have had. It is difficult to find Thor servicers in our area (the Gulf Coast), so we ultimately had to figure out how to maintain it ourselves. We replaced the door gasket for the first time last year. But we've had to replace the igniter roughly every 2 years. Latest fix was the thermostat. Took a couple of hours of troubleshooting, but we were able to install it ourselves. Works as good as new. This is a very good oven, all mechanical and electrical with NO circuit boards that reduce longevity. I highly recommend it.
I've had my range for 3 years now and it's amazing! The gas stove works fast and efficiently. The oven also cooks evenly and efficiently. Just one change would be to have both racks be rolling.
I bought a Thor stove based on reliability and quality of the brand. I am not disappointed, sturdy well constructed and has a feel of great quality. Looking forward to many years of cooking and baking.
I bought mine six months ago and I love the three italian burners that allow me to move finished items to simmer and free up additional burners. The burners are powerful and allow for quick boiling. They are well spaced and allow the use of some of my larger pans and woks.
This range looks great and functions beautifully. It's a wonder to cook with, though it does have a learning curve (but it is a fun learning curve) to really get the results you want. I do find the burners to be a touch finicky, hence the 1-star deduction, but otherwise we're very pleased with our purchase so far.
We bought the 4808U gas range when we remodeled our kitchen in 2017 and 8 years later, we still love our range. The size can accomodate 6 full size pots if you want to cook at the same time. And the flame depicts professional ranges for easy cooking using woks or just regular pots. It is truly an affordable, great performing range.
I bought this in January 2019 so I have to give it a pretty good rate I've only replaced the igniter once now the unit burner is out and I'm having trouble finding it it's on backorder but as soon as that gets back I'm sure I'll be working again i really do love this oven though
I bought this in 2017 during the kitchen remodel and I've been extremely pleased with it since I bought it. It's easy to keep clean heat up like you expect if there was any downfall is that it's pretty hard to move to clean underneath and behind it's not impossible, but it does take two people in a smooth surface for it to slide across.
Love the look of our new range and the functionality. Easy to clean and use. What took my review down is there are no wheels and the range is quite heavy therefore impossible to move out to clean behind it on my own or even with 2 people and we have already snapped a leg off of our brand new stove trying to get it into place. For this reason alone I would not reccomend this stove unfortunatley. If Thor would add wheels I would definitley reccomend!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased a full kitchen suite in October 2018. The product arrived set for LP and not set up for our altitude of 6200 feet above sea level. After months of not being able to use our range it was finally correctly adjusted for our altitude. All and all it is a fantastic range. I use the duel burner all the time. If I had my wish I would like to replace one of the two 12k burners with another duel. The oven: I bake constantly. Breads are a constant for us. I've learned to give the oven ample time to come to temperature then let it rest to saturate. If not it's not going to stay consistent. Once I took that route all is well. Recently I ordered one of the telescoping oven grates. I did so because I bake often in cast iron. The weight of the iron made sliding the stock grate “choppy”. Not good. The new shelf is outstanding. I suggest Thor add this as an option
