You can't beat the value with this kit. I did it on the garage floor and it was remarkably easy to install. There will be a couple pipes that need trimmed to make it fit exact under YOUR car with YOUR headers. But that's the point. Its universal so there's some extra length on certain pipes. Make sure to mock it up first, mark it for possible cutting and mark all the seams with a sharpie so you get the angles right on reassembly, then cut pipes as needed before you do your final assembly. I've installed plenty of these types of kits, and sometimes certain parts-pipes may require "Tweaking" here and there by slightly bending a tube. That's easily accomplished with some wood and a floor jack IF needed. In my case it was not but all cars are different. Welding is NOT needed but I did weld a couple specific seams. The E brake cable fit nice afterword and the H pipe cleared the Turbo 400 with no issue. The hangers are real nice OE style. When done it fit great with NO clearance issues any where. No additional parts were needed for my application which was a 69 Big Block Chevelle . I did add the GM Big Block Oval exhaust pipe tips to mine which required trimming the turn down off of the tail pipe. It was as if it was made for it. The only thing about these is the packing. They come in the box from the manufacture and parts are really heavy for cardboard. Between shipping and the way they are packed the contents move around in the box alot. They could use more packing inside the box.

Installed these on my 70 cutlass. Everything but the H pipe fit decent. Where I ran into the problem was installing the H pipe to the pipes connecting to the headers. Absolutely no way to install other than to cut the H pipe and remove 1/2 inch from the interconnect tube. Doing that allowed the pipes to meet the header flanges. I have bought thrush products in the past for my 78 K10 and that fit decent. I would advise if you don't have a welder, take this to a shop where they can “tweak” it for proper fitment. I should have not needed to cut the H pipe for the fitment, this is an issue that should have been caught at the factory.

You will need to modify it a lot if you have 454 motor or 396 motor in your car with long headers. I took mines to a shop and took them 4hrs to get it all to fit correctly. I feel like if you have a stock headers maybe better luck. The sound is pretty average not as good as flowmasters.
