I bought a practice writing tablet for my 4-year-old granddaughter and was afraid if she used regular pencils she would press too hard and break them so I asked my teacher daughter what she recommended because I didn't know if they still made the thick pencils for preschoolers. she recommended these so I got some and they are working out great..

Bought these for my son when he was 3 to start practice writing and am happy with it. Was easy to hold for his little hands. He is now 5 about to start school this fall and can already write the entire alphabet of words, numbers and small sentences! Definitely recommend if your kiddo is learning to write!

These are great pencils for preschoolers or beginner writers. They are sturdy and the tip does not easily break. They are great for little hands learning pencil grip.

These pencils are a staple in our home. We can count on them to be sturdy, to write well, and have a classic look. Our 7 and 6 year olds like using these pencils for their learning workbooks and for drawing. We can move on to standard sized pencils, but like using these for now.

This was perfect for my large hands. Finally a pencil that I wouldn't accidentally break with my writing strength!

These are perfect for little hands. I purchased these for my 2 1/2 year old daughter but my 4 1/2 y.o. granddaughter uses them for her homework as well. I don't have to search for them when they roll since they're larger.

I purchased these because mechanical pencils are made so cheaply today. I went retro and bought wodden pencils and a sharpener. Couldn't be happier with my purchase

Perfect for beginner writers

I sketch, and I have been looking for the fat, thick type pencil for ages! I was so glad to find it. The only down point is that the eraser does not remove the pencil marks - it erases only about forty percent of it. I would've preferred the pencil to have no eraser at all than to offer once that doesn't work. But the pencil writes and sketches like a dream - just don't make a mistake!
