When I get pencils I prefer Dixon Ticonderoga. Tried and True. They're good quality, and inexpensive. This pack of 24 will probably last me a couple years. They sharpen nice and write smoothly and leave a nice dark "mark" on the pages. The erasers work good as well.
Ticonderoga pencils are hands-down the best pencils I've ever used and bought for my kids. They sharpen easily without breaking, write smoothly, and the erasers actually work without smudging or tearing the paper. The quality feels way better than cheaper brands, and they last a long time. Whether for preschoolers, for teachers, work, or for artists, these pencils are always reliable for all assignments— definitely worth the few extra cents.
Take it from a teacher, don't skimp. Or else your child will just be breaking off lead right after sharpening, or having an off centered lead, or the plastic decorative outer layer that sticks in the sharpener. Ticonderoga are THE name in pencils for a reason.
Title: 24 Pack of Yellow %232 Pencils — For When You Refuse to Be Defeated by a Blank Page Review: If you're reading a review for basic yellow %232 pencils, life has brought you to a fascinating crossroads. Maybe you're stocking up for school, preparing for a standardized test, or finally admitting that pens are just permanent mistakes waiting to happen. These pencils are exactly what you think they are: yellow, pointy, and suspiciously optimistic. They sharpen without drama, write smoothly, and the erasers remove errors with the quiet dignity of pretending the mistake never happened. The graphite is reliable, the wood doesn't splinter, and they won't judge you for spelling “definitely” wrong for the 700th time. Are they fancy? No. Do they connect to Bluetooth? Also no. Will they survive a backpack, desk drawer, or mild existential crisis? Absolutely. Perfect for classrooms, offices, crossword puzzles, and anyone who enjoys the comforting scratch of graphite on paper. Five stars for doing exactly what pencils have done since the dawn of homework. ✏️
I have difficulty using mechanical pencils and had trouble finding a standard number 2 pencil with high quality. This grade of quality is great. I can enjoy using standard pencils again.
Works great! High quality pencil, with consistent lead. Easy to sharpen, and the wood doesn't split in electric or mechanical sharpeners. Easy to hold. Great for art. Fantastic eraser.
Ticonderoga pencils used to be the best - with a nice size circumference providing a reasonably comfortable grip, a good eraser and dark lead that writes clearly and fluidly. Unfortunately, all of these features seem to have gone downhill; the pencils are skinnier and less comfortable to hold; the lead is little scratchier, lighter and doesn't seem to last as long, requiring more frequent sharpening. The eraser, although sturdy, is less effective; I can still see the markings after erasing. It's really too bad. Ticonderoga used to be the gold standard for pencils. While these new ones are adequate, they are just not as good as they used to be.
There is a reason why teachers prefer these pencils. The lead doesn't break when you sharpen them, they don't dull as quickly, and the eraser actually erases. Don't believe me,? Try sharpening these to pencils and using them and comparing these pencils to ones that cost half the price of these Ticanderoga pencils; You will see and feel the difference
My 12 year old daughter requested the Ticonderoga pencils for Christmas. She says the tips are softer than the other brand. Alas, a gift that does not punish my pocketbook!!
I wanted the delivered with my original order %26 it was sent to store me to pickup. I can't afford to pay people just to pick up a package of pencils. I shop in store once a month only so online is better for me
