Other brands have intense fragrances and harsh chemicals that irritate my skin and are overpowering. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I received this product to test for two weeks. When I got it, I waited to try it until I do my laundry on the weekends. As soon as I opened it up, the smell hit me. The smell wasn't unpleasant but it wasn't pleasant either. It reminded me of alcohol. The soap works about just the same as any old regular free and gentle laundry detergent. In my opinion, I would stick getting another brand because they work the same, except other brands don't smell like this. Looking at the ingredients, they use alcohol as a solvent, which means it's the thing that the other things are dissolved it. It really does make it smell like alcohol. Stick to another brand that does the same thing without the smell.
