I needed to replace my filter and this is not the first time doing this but for some reason using the number that is in the manual the item did not fit so I tried the same company on line numbers are the same but did not fit so I tried Walmart with the same number and got the correct size filter don't know if Whirlpool made an error with packaging but my problem is solved Thank you.

Before this refrigerator and filter, it didn't matter what you stored them in, sliced onions always left an aroma in my refrigerator. This filter provides a "nonsmell" which is the best smell of all for a fridge.

It is a cheaper alternative to the oem filters which run for twice the price. It is missing the feature which reminds you to change it every few months. Just set up a reminder on your phone and you are good to go.

I purchased these because they are supposed to be the same as Whirlpool brand. The reviews were pretty good. They do fit in my refrigerator but they are not the same thing. They are different material and they don't have the pleated texture of genuine Whirlpool. Returned. I do not know if they work, but doubtful.
