TiFlex Men's T1503 Rectangular Rectangular Prescription Eyeglasses with Case, Dark Pewter

Vision is good, frames are small (making eyeglasses lighter), frames are flexible and tough. These are a very close to my previous glasses, as hoped and expected.

I trust the professional doctor who examined my eyes for prescription. Customer service was fantastic, from my personal choice of a large variety of frames with different styles and pricing,sending them off for the lens to be crafted to prescription,making adjustments to individual needs on return, all the while patiently answering any questions and satisfaction concerns. I have the single lens for far and close, focusing with no line bifocals. After two weeks of a thirty day warranty, I could not maintain clear focus from far to close. I was sent back to the eye doctor, with glasses in hand, and reexamined. Without glasses, looking in the machine, he found a slide that my vision read clearly and looked away on a wall monitor, reflecting what was shown on the machine, it was clear. with my glasses on, looking at the same, there was a degree of distortion. He couldn't understand because what was clear from the machine and wall monitor was what he wrote my prescription to. He didn't know why the distortion with my glasses on and viewing. He then stated that he would make some adjustments to my prescription that hopefully helped but couldn't guarantee it would. The only other suggestion would be to get a refund, if not. After they returned and were adjusted for fit another week, I still could not find consistent focus. Going back to customer service, I was assured that it would take a little more adjustment time, give it another week, and if I was still dissatisfied, she would send me back to talk with the doctor. The final conclusion is that the doctor had stated his advice, and the clock was run out on my warranty. From my own research, I found the problem to be transitions from far to near that my lens lacked the technology of and competitors guaranteed to be fast and smooth, so that the majority of their clients adapted within 1-2 days. They craft lens to meet an individuals need instead of focusing on an exclusive lens crafter to that vision center. I was told to adjust to the lens and not that the lens had a quick and smooth transition for quick adaptation, which they certainly don't. I continued to find that transition with time to become frustrated and tossing a near 500 pair of glasses in a desk drawer. When my insurance renews next year, I will start fresh, somewhere else within their network. Money made on one side and lost on the other. It's unfortunate to have been the other, struggling to make ends meet, with a lesson learned.

After about 1 year, the right side temple/earpiece broke away from the screw at the hinge, and was lost. The screw is still in the frame, so it was a failure of the temple/earpice. for this price I expected more
