Tillamook has the BEST cheese ever!! I love budget shopping, but there are a few things I refuse to buy "cheap" and sacrifice flavor for saving pennies. cheese is one. I have not met a tillamook cheese I dont rate at the best. (these minis arent great value, its certainly cheaper to buy a block and cut your own but you pay for convenience and i like the option!)
These snack-sized cheddar portions are a hit in our house—sharp, flavorful, and easy to grab on the go. The price is decent for the quality, and kids love them. The only downside is the packaging. Each piece is individually wrapped, which feels excessive and wasteful. Great for convenience, not so great for sustainability.
For me, white cheddar is an aquired taste because of the 'sharpness of the bite', not every pallette can tolerate it. My other reason(s) may be considered controversial: white cheeses can be considered healthier due to the lack of plastic-like ingredients found in yellow cheeses as I've seen in some behind-the-scene programs. Bur don't get me wrong, I, openly admit an occasional love for 'processed cheesefood.' This brand is conveniently packaged for snackin', packin' and on-the-go livin'. Texure is creamy IF you savor holding it in your mouth a bit, letting your salivary glands work their magic to release the saltiness(?) and creaminess as it softens in your mouth. If you tend to gobble it quickly then you're missing the richness of flavor. The other thing I like that really brings out the flavor is to let it get room temperature (IF, your taste buds can tolerate the wait). So key points: room temperature and don't eat it too fast. One Christmas vacation, my housemates and I went to the Tillamook factory in Oregon before they closed for the holiday, but that's for a different review. Enjoy the product, it can be purchased in portion control sizes and it's great as ONE of the blended ingredients in making HOMEMADE mac n' cheese! (😉).
Tillamook cheese is an absolutely awesome brand. it's not the cheapest cheese on the planet, but it is well worth the price because it is absolutely delicious and each type of Tillamook cheese is just delicious whether it's cheddar these little white cheddar bites or any other Tillamook cheese. I highly recommend it!
When I'm being lazy, I love having these in the house. They're handy to grab with crackers and fruit for a healthy snack that requires no knife or other prep
This is my favorite snack cheese. It is so yummy. It has a perfect combination of sharp cheddar flavor and creaminess and it's a high-quality cheese. It is a bit pricey, but it is worth the money, IMO.
I use these cheese slices on burgers, sandwiches and sometimes I crumble one slice into my scrambled eggs. I like how they are individually wrapped because the cheese stays fresher longer.
Tillamook is always the best. But the portion control and ease of use of these snack portions is fantastic!!!
I highly recommend this sharp, white cheddar cheese. I now buy it every week. I can't go back to regular yellow/ orange cheddar cheese now!
The quality of the cheese is high but not as economical as i would prefer. i honestly thought i purchased a block of Tillamook which i could have cut up myself. Great if you have children or adult lunches to pack and don't have time to slice and bag, i suppose.
