I have been buy two, yes TWO of these Tillamook onion and cream cheese every single week for the past two years. Once you get the full richness of Tillamook it ruins other cream cheeses. The texture is more dense, less creamy and spreadable than others. It's got I think a higher fat content that other brands out there. The flavor and fullness is unmatched. I eat it every day on my bagel, sometimes on salami and my husband likes it with crackers. SO GOOD.
I love everything made by Tillamook! The flavors, texture and ease of use.
Delicious!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not surprised I liked this, everything from Tillamook is delicious. I also tend to like savory cream cheeses over sweet ones. But even knowing all that, I was happily surprised by just how much I really liked this.
Tillamook has the best products. This cream cheese has a smooth texture, spreads easily and has tons of fresh flavor. I like to spread it on crackers or use it as an added ingredient in some of my recipes to add some creaminess and pop of flavor.
I tried this cream cheese spread and overall it's pretty good. The ingredients taste fresh and the texture is smooth. I like the mix of chive and onion. The aftertaste is still pleasant and creamy .
This is a very heavy cream cheese spread. It tastes like an ultra thick onion dip party mix vs. a bagel schmear. I tried to add a little milk to lighten this up but could not. I love the Tillamook cheddar cheese for Mac and Cheese but the cream cheese spread was not for me. The onion Lipton Soup taste over-powered the cream cheese spread.
This was a surprise, and not a pleasant one, unfortunately. Usually, I really do like Tilamook products. Their cheeses, blocks and sliced are top shelf, and I was expecting this to be on a par with those products. Sadly, this cream cheese does not compare favorably to the Great Value Chive and Onion cream cheese, and Great Value is the store brand! You would expect the store brand to be the lesser of the two, but not in this case. The texture of the Tilamook is fine. It's smooth, but, not as creamy as the Great Value. There is much less of a cream cheese flavor and even less onion and chive compared to the G.V. cream cheese. My wife and I did a side by side blind comparison of the two. She hid which was which from me, and then I returned the favor. We did both cream-cheese-on-the-finger tests and cream-cheese-on-a-mini-everything-bagel. The G.V. came out on top in all four tests. While I realize this is in no way a scientific test, it still satisfied us! LOL So, there isn't really much cream cheese flavor in the Tilamook, nor is there really ANY chive flavor. There is a TINY bit of onion flavor, and that little bit of onion is the only thing that gets this cream cheese to a 2 in terms of stars. The G.V. has MUCH more cream cheese flavor, and it's a pleasant one, too. I've had, literally, dozens of cream cheeses in my life: not to be a snob, but I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and Brooklyn practically RUNS on bagels and a schmear, aka bagels and cream cheese. In the G.V., you can taste, clearly, both chive and onion. The flavors are different, and, in the store brand, actually distinct from each other. I'm also going to be writing a review of the G.V. chive and onion, but you don't need to read it, as it's going to be exactly this same review. To summarize, save some pennies. Buy the Great Value Onion and Chive.
Expiration date of March 2024, yet when I opened it, the contents were grainy - very unappetizing, and not at all spreadable. Flavor was also "muted." I believe at some point it was frozen. DISAPPOINTED, tossed it.
My product didn't expire until August. Yet it already had a thin layer of oily substance on the top. When I tried to mix it, it was pasty and cracked into large chunks. Would not spread very well. The texture was dry and not creamy at all. First time trying this product last time trying this product.
