Time and Tru Women's Tie Waist Denim Midi Skirt, Sizes XS-XXXL

Nice skirt. I got it in the cream too. It is an elastic waist with a tie in the front, not an actual working drawstring. They are a fairly heavyweight denim and the dark denim is a nice dark true denim color. The cream is just that with a sort of mustard topstitching. I wear an XL or XXL (size 18). The XXL in this case is marked 20. It fits, but is a tiny bit large in the waist. I have not washed it yet, but will see if it shrinks and if not, I may take up the elastic a bit since I sew. Otherwise, I love the long length and the preppy coastal style of these for summer as well as the rest of the year.

The fabric weight was much lighter than expected but that was a good thing. The cut for me was tighter than expected so will go up a size. It is an A-line so keep that in mind when purchasing if you are a little bit chunky like me. 😁 I will return the ones I bought to reorder a size larger.

I like the skirt. I purchased the navy blue and the white. The white ran a little bigger than the navy blue in the 12/14. The white is more of a winter white or a cream color. 12/14 is my regular size. I would say it fit true to size. I am slightly under 5 ft. and it hit about 8 to 10 inches above my ankle.

Perfect in every way. If you are 5'0” this skirt won't need to be hemmed. I would say pretty true to size but could have sized down because the drawstring allows you to tighten and there is plenty of room and material. It's one of those items I put on and immediately said yes to. Didn't have to think twice. The material is not heavy and will transition between seasons well.

Love this white denim skirt! I like to dress feminine when I leave the house. This skirt is casual enough to wear with a simple tank or tee and sandals. And I love the midi length! More options like this, please. I usually order a size down in the time and tru line.

Longer than I thought it would be. Much heavier, very thick fabric, true denim. Was hoping for a lighter weight for more flow and cooler feel. Fits well, and is well made. All in all for the price it is a great buy, but for a Summer skirt I would advise looking elsewhere.

I really enjoy wearing this dress. I wore it for the summertime. It's a little long for summer where but it is pretty comfortable and flattering. It would probably be best for fall and spring and maybe winter if you wore layers under it. I felt very comfortable wearing it would recommend.

This ran a bit big in the waist. The drawstring is not functional, just for looks. The waist is elastic. I got the cream and the denim though. I washed and dried in hot in hopes they shrink some. If not, I will take in the elastic some (I sew). These are nice basic skirts. The cream fabric is very soft and lightweight. Nice unique color for a denim type skirt. Has a tan topstitching. The denim is also a lightweight denim. Nice medium to dark wash on that one. Conservative for work or church or just knocking around in a sandal, sneaker or a boot in the winter.

I took it back. This skirt is cute, for sure, but for me the sizing was off. I purchased my normal Time and Tru size of XS and I had to work a little to get the skirt over my hips (and I don't particularly have large hips proportionally to the rest of my body). Once the skirt was up over my hips it fit fine in the waist, until I sat down. I do have an enlarged belly area so this won't be a problem for everyone but for me the skirt ended up being too tight through the abdomen and a size up would be looser through the abdomen but then too big everywhere else. FYI that the drape of the fabric is a little stiff; it works for the skirt, just mentioning it as a note on the flow of the fabric.

The skirt itself is good quality. Great length, sturdy denim but not too heavy, flows and drapes nicely but if you have an hourglass shape, this skirt is not for you. I purchased this skirt because the description said elastic waist with drawstring. The drawstring is just for looks. The skirt is snug in the hips and I have to keep pulling it down. I am all natural, no BBL, but if I did there's no way this skirt would work. The elastic is pretty much useless as the waistband isn't as small as most other items that have an elastic waistband, if that makes sense. This is not an A-line cut, it is fitted at hips and then flares out. Not what I was looking for and that wasn't in the description. If you have slimmer hips and a bigger waist, this will fit you perfectly. Sending it back for a refund unfortunately. I was really hoping to wear this for church Wednesday, another reason I ordered it, fast shipping.
