I was happy to find this watch. It's not usually in the store. We had to buy a George watch back in the summer and my husband does not like it. It's always 6 minutes slow and it's especially hard to operate. We can't turn off the alarm every day at 11 am.
Does not include instructions. Referred me to Timex.com, but spent an hour searching the site for directions I could use. Should be easier to find out how to use the product.
Love it. Got everything I need on it. Wish it came with a printed tutorial instructions but I'll find a way to use all the goodies on it.
Watch is great, Indiglo is awesome, love the heart rate and steps counting, no smartphone needed!!!!
I bought this watch for my husband who works in construction because the Timex Iron Man watch holds up better than any other watch that he can wear while working in that type of environment. He has owned multiple Iron Man watches over a decade. He is very hard on them. Usually the first thing to go is the band and replacing a band is not very cost efficient so we usually end up buying a whole new watch but still it is the only one that lasts for him. This particular model, and there are multiple ones, has some settings that we don't and would never use, so I wish they would make just a simple timekeeping version with perhaps an alarm. He likes to set an alarm for noon so he knows to break for lunch.
It came discounted - however, the display was dim. I wonder if the battery is already old? I decided it made reading the time too difficult (not acceptable on a brand new LCD watch - you shouldn't have to aim at the proper angle to read it. This was supposed to be my second Ironman watch (different model). I liked the idea of having a non-smart watch measuring my heart rate etc. I haven't had enough time to compare to a specialized heart monitor device - it seems a bit "optimitic" (reads a low heart beat). My complaint is that the display changes unbeknowst to you. You know - a light touch on a button - and the next function is called. As a result (for my life style) I find that you have to cycle way too often through all the options to simply return back to the hour (and you'd better pay attention to what function you're on - but then that ties to my dim display) - i don't want to deal with the bad combination of hard to read display with the frequent need to pay attention to said display. Conversely, IF you like soft buttons, this watch is for you. It's a design choice - i'm sure it satisfies some users - but I suppose this watch is for active people.
The chirp/beep functions do not work on any pertinent settings, even though they have been set to "on" and the icons appears on the display. I've had Ironman watches for years, but accessing and setting the functions on this one is confusing –– too many functions with too few buttons to control/set them.
If I wanted a watch that tells time only, then I would have paid about $25. I wanted a sports watch that did it all. I paid $70 for this watch. It came with NO INSTRUCTIONS! I am periodically going to youtube to try to figure this out.
Love timex- but not only did the watch feel cheap, it arrived wed with a dead battery and no Instructions, even if there was a battery. Typically something such as a dead battery can happen and not really a big deal, but the overall construction and field of the watch was poor compared to other timeouts products. Also, replacing watch batteries can be difficult was excited regarding the feature of heart rate tracking, which is why I bought it unfortunately I think this is the time where money equates to value whereas typically time. value is spot on.
The watch probably has great features, but it comes without instructions and I haven't been able to figure out how to reset the time or the stopwatch. I checked the timex website to download the manual, but they don't include any useful information to identify which manual goes with my watch. I sent them email asking for help. It has been a week and I haven't heard back. The watch is useless until they get back to me.
