STUMP EATER

Mike D. August 29, 2021

The more you hate stumps. the more you will love this stump bucket/grapple. This thing is well engineered at every point of operation, once you get it in the ground you'll see how they thought of everything to remove the stump quickly and efficiently. I've had mine a couple of months, and I am more than happy with it and the price is great too! PS, my grapple is plenty strong, it may depend on your machine PSI.

I will have to agree, it is a beast. This is my first experience with a stump bucket but I have spent plenty of time (years past) digging out stumps with a regular bucket using a small 743. Not very efficient and hard on the machine. I couldn't decide if one with a grapple was necessary for me as price was a factor and my regular bucket is a 72" 4 in 1. After looking at several different stump buckets I came back to this one. My machine is a 1845C and the unit almost fit. Had to widen the lower slots by 1/2" per side to the center and change out the couplers but no big deal. So far, until the rain got me, I've taken down several small to medium trees by digging around their base to get the roots cut and then pushing them over and lifting out. Largest tree was about a 80" pine with a sizable stump that took less than 15 minutes to dig out. Great. Oh yeah, definitely glad I went for this one with the grapple. Definitely speeds things up not having to change back to my 4 in 1. Is it perfect, no, but very close. I've used it enough to realize the opening could stand to be a little larger for brush and it needs a little overbite for reaching over and down to clamp around tree trunks. And yeah, a step on each side would help for sure. Very satisfied. Almost forgot, super fast shipping too.

Awesome

Josh January 23, 2018

This product arrived quickly and is very heavy duty. I have used it for about 3 hours so far and am very impressed with its performance. I have a fairly small skid steer, but this bucket and grapple can rip up big stuff. I was able to fully load a 6x10 dump trailer with small trees and branches with 3 huge scoops using the grapple to securely carry the load to the trailer. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to be able to dig aggressively and quickly and haul a large load.

Very good, well built attachment.

Rex C. January 8, 2021

Very good, well built attachment. Have worked it hard on a 10,000 pound track machine and haven’t had any bends or breaks so far. The grapple is kinda in the way some times but it is very handy for moving brush and trees around after you’ve popped them outta the ground.

Good or ok not the best.

Wayne May 31, 2018

This thing is a beast....BUT....it looks like it was welded together by someone that had no idea how to weld. Very disappointed about the welding and a few pieces of metal they used were very rusty and painted over. I have worked the heck out of this so far itâ€:tm:s holding together despite bad ugly welding. I really wish it has some type of step on top of it when getting into the machine. It would be easy to hurt yourself if you slip and fall into the teeth of the bucket like I did 12 stitches in my leg later....I suppose I will weld a nice step on the top of each side myself. After all said I have NO regrets in buying it. It really gets the job done I have about 30 hours on it now.

Pleased with it's heavy duty

Andrew F. September 17, 2020

Pleased with it's heavy duty construction, range of movement, etc... Rated it 4 star only because the flat face hydraulic connectors required changing to match my tractors existing connectors. Wouldn't have been that big of an issue except the brass adapter is some kind of odd npt/metric mix... Required a lot of road time to several supply houses and hyd. hose shops to eventually give up and find a machine shop to do it. Choice of connector styles should be an option.

Great Stump Bucket!

Chris I. January 19, 2021

This stump bucket works great. It is heavy, and well built. I like the teeth on the straight sides of the bucket and how they saw through roots while digging. My only complaint is that the grapple isn't very strong. It is adequate to hold brush in place after it is picked up, but it won't squeeze hard enough to pick up a log.

Nice Stump Grapple

Gary N. August 8, 2021

The Stump Grapple itself is very good quality and has worked well. My only technical comment is that it needs something to keep the hoses out of the way. I have had to rig up bungee cords for this purpose. A drain hole would also help keep standing water out of it when it has to sit outdoors. My ONLY beef is that Titan put the attachment on sale between the date I ordered it and when it arrived and would not honor the discount. That seems a bit petty to me.
