Tired of hearing about packaging and welds ! I buy equipment to train with not look at how pretty it is or isnâ€:tm:t. With that in mind, titan has the best products on the market for the price hands down ! So if you donâ€:tm:t like your cardboard box a little messed up , or you have to have the perfect welds ,well then by all means spend 3 times more with someone else ! I have a home gym and I do use my equipment not just look at it , so THANK YOU Titan fitness for your great reasonably priced products!

Picked up this bar to start axle training. Can't believe other companies charge so much, but Titan has a winner here. Rackable, thick steel wall pipe, and no frills are exactly what I was looking for. This pipe is metric and is much closer to 2" OD than typical 1.5" pipe used in many strongman implements, and the powder coat is thick enough that tighter tolerance plates and bumpers may not fit until it wears down a bit. The good news is that regular collars work just fine. All in all a solid buy, and the price is tough to beat.

Incredible that you can get an axle to your doorstep for what plumbing pipe would cost at Home Depot. Regarding plate compatibility - it's a little hit-or-miss. High end ones won't fit as is, but most you'd see at a crossfit gym would be fine. Here's what I had at the gym to test with - we mostly use the Echo Bumpers for strongman stuff: Rogue Echo Bumpers - fit but snug Rogue Training 2.0 Plates (Competition style bumpers) - doesn't fit Pendlay Competition Bumpers - doesn't fit Rogue Calibrated Metal Plates - doesn't fit York Legacy Milled Iron Plates - fit fine Troy Interlocking Plates - most fit, some didn't So the proper outside diameter of a bar is 50mm, which is a little less than 2". In the US, most axles are made with plumbing pipe, which is 1.5" inside diameter and like 1.87" outside diameter. That means plates are loose and regular collars don't work. If you used 2" outside diameter steel tubing or rod, only the cheapest metal plates fit, because cheap plates tend to have extra big holes due to lower tolerances. Now in China or wherever this is made, they use metric sizes for steel, so this appears to be 50mm outside diameter tubing. So that should be perfect, but it might not have very tight tolerances (the outside diameter might vary a bit), and they powder coat on top of it which adds some thickness. I'm pretty sure after sanding the powder coat off with a flap disk the high end plates would fit but I haven't tested it yet. And the Rogue Echo plates that were kind of tight when I got it are sliding on a lot better now after a few months of use. As an additional side note, mine weighed like 26 lbs, not quite the 30 advertised. On Titan equipment in general, the welds and powder coat job aren't perfect, but pretty good. But, it's so so cheap, and shows up at your door in 2-3 days. You can buy 3 of them for less money than a Rogue one with shipping. If you're concerned your plates won't fit, you can buy this axle, an angle grinder, and flap discs, and you'd still be paying only a little over half what you would buying from elsewhere. If you want a high-end axle though, I'd still get an Ironmind - one of the only ones with the proper diameter for regular collars and built stronger than the plumbing pipe axles. But Titan is second to none for a decent axle at a ridiculously low price. I'm giving it 5 stars despite some flaws because the price is so good it's still a steal.

I've had this for about a year now and have used it a few times. Initially bought it as a beater bar to use for landmine work. Now I have been using it for fat grip curls mostly. I don't do any strongman work but if I did it would definitely use it alot more

We use this rugged full-length axle chiefly for outdoor strongman training and are very satisfied with it. Standard diameter barbells (25-32mm) can aggravate my wrists and hand nerves during bench or overhead presses, the bigger diameter of axles and fat bars alleviates these problems.

I've had my axle bar a little over a month now and have nothing bad to say other than a small cosmetic blemish with one of the welds. absolutely no problems fitting bumpers or metal plates on the bar, however if you plan on using bumpers just know that since its a fixed bar the bumpers wont spin when you attempt a clean, metal plates will. this bar is great though its cheaper and 5 pounds heavier than its competitor at Rouge, great job Titan I will definitely be coming back for more equipment.

No issues with this whatsoever. I had been wanting one for a long time but was a little concerned with how cheap it was. But I figured for the price I couldn't go wrong. When I received it I cannot believe how nice it was and at just a3 of the cost of many other name brands. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an actual bar.

I had been looking at axle bars for awhile but just could justify paying $100+ for one. Then I found Titan had a 7' axle for under $50, so I pulled the trigger and bought it. I couldn't be happier with this bar. It is what it is, a thick, ugly bar that will make you think twice about how strong your grip and forearms are! If you are like I was and on the fence about an axle because for other companies prices Get this one from Titan for the price you won't be disappointed.

I do like this bar. Finish feels good and I enjoy the versatility the bar adds to my training. My cheap iron plates fit and so do my cheap collars. It's an axel bar so there isn't much else I can say. The negatives are pretty minor, but they prevented me from giving the item 5 stars, so here they are: 1. The bar ships in a long cardboard box rather than a barbell shipping tube. The box wasn't in great shape upon arrival, but there were no obvious breaks or rips in the cardboard and the box was actually pretty well taped at the ends. Despite this, there were some scratches and scuffs in the powder coat. I'm assuming this happened during shipping and kind of wish I had just bought one from the scratch and dent page as I see them on there from time to time. 2. The bar is advertised at 30lbs and the one I received clocked in at 24.4lbs. Again not a huge deal, but something to consider. Overall. It feels solid, holds weight, and performs as intended. For the price it is hard not to recommend.

I bought this after I got into strongman and conjugate training. Great bar for the price. Fits my number plates and my York iron plates. Been using it for various lifts for months now for some variety in training. I left 4 stars because the powder coat is a little thin and has chipped a little. It's an Axle bar though, it's supposed to look rough.
